looking at your design so far TC this one is begging to be converted to full rocket status. looks like the formers would transfer great to lightply and then skin it with either heavy card and a layer of card laminated on thin ply.

drop in some engine tubes in key locations, main engines and booster pods. have it separate right behind the cabin for the chutes. i am thinking somewhere in the 90cm/3ft range for length.

Wasn't this same ship modified and used in Battlestar Galactica?

Actually, YES, this shuttle was modified and used in BSG. Not only that, but it was also modified again for the second season of BRTC25.

This is the 'PUMPKIN SHUTTLE" that was used in BSG.

Correct. There were four miniatures made:

- Ranger 3 clean
- Ranger 3 dirty
- Pumpkin Shuttle (BSG)
- Searcher Shuttle (season 2).

This is why I'm chomping at this one so much; you can use the template to make four models!

They also re-used the life-size mock-up in both shows. Please note that only the Ranger 3 filming miniatures had a cockpit; the others had only blacked-out windows just like the first Revellogram Vipers.
