Hello! My name is Isaac, and I'm brand new. My brothers and I have just found out about paper modelling. I am specifically attracted to the star trek area! Right now I really want to make the USS Prometheus with the multi-vector assault mode with detachable mini starships built into it. My first models were the bridge of the original Enterprise, and the USS Rhode Island. I am also interested In the techniques used in modelling and folding tiny corners. Also, if anyone has any suggestions for different areas of modelling, let me know! I am amazed at what people make here!

Welcome aboard and if you like sci-fi, we do have an abundance in that department but don't forget the rest. For building techniques and folding, there are a few tutorials here that may help you and a whole bunch of build threads, mine included, that can be further interest to you. Hope to see some of your stuff around here soon. Enjoy and see you around the forum.

If anybody has suggestions on models outside of zealot downloads(I don't have access yet) I would be happy to look them up. since I am new at modelling, instructions would be apreciated!

One last question, where can I find tutorials?

In the meantime, while you are in the waiting mode, there are some readily available models within some threads, Armormans comes to mind. You can also access the links which will take you to some free paper models as well. As for the tutorials, Click on the forum tag, and then on the card model tag and it will bring you it. Or click here. http://www.zealot.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=648 Play around the site with the exception of the downloads for now. I hope to see some of your works soon. Enjoy and see you around the forum.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You have definitely come to the right place for all things "SCI-FI"!
As for the Star Trek models that you are looking for, here are a few sites that have Star Trek models:

http://www.freewebs.com

http://tektonten.blogspot.com

http://ninjatoes.wordpress.com

http://www.paperaviation.de/index.html

I think that these should keep you busy for a day or two.

If you have any completed models, please post photos of them.

When you start on a project, please post a build thread.

Once again, welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing your work.

I am starting a project right now, if I were to post images on a new thread, would I post it simply under the sci-fi section?

I got to this party too late. You just got all the links I would have given you. There are many models in the threads which you can download. Looks like you have your hands full.

Welcome aboard! I like when enthusiastic people such as yourself join the forum. Your fitting right in. :)
