Stupid question from a non gamer......

@ Armorman...I was wondering about the Leman Russ Eversor i just built..I tried to find out about the tank, and kept getting references to the Officio Assassinorum. But The Assassinorum using tanks sounds weird to me. Whats the story about this tank, and what is the big gun on front?

Well, as for the specific name, "Eversor" I don't recognize it off-hand, but it's not to say there isn't such a creature, it may just be obscure or perhaps just a "lost in translation" scenario... Eversor is a Latin word that means "Destroyer", of which there IS a version in WK40k:

It does have a similar profile... and the name, when translated from latin, does mean the same thing... But I can't say for certain seeing as the gun looks different and it has a turret.


It could also possibly be some variation of the Valdor Tank Hunter, which is based off the Malcador pattern, which predates the Leman Russ.

As for the main hull mounted gun itself, if I had to guess, it looks a bit like a Nova cannon that's often seen on Leman Russ "Eradicator" variant(s):

With it having several parts pointing in several directions, it could well be a bit of a mash-up design. I'm thinking it's a Destroyer with a Nova Cannon, and a commander's turret put on for extra fun and shootey-goodness...

Additional components are not unheard of, for instance sponson weapons can readily be added/removed from some classes of tank/transport and exchanged for other components or benefits, usually additional armor. Perhaps this model has such an option for the commander turret.

Appreciate the info. I enjoyed building it, and a buddy was asking about it, so I figured someone here might know....Im just your local arms manufacturer ;)

I know copyright can be hazy and confusing when items like these are made to be freely distributed on the internet, but if a site is selling them, wouldn't Games Workshop be the ones to be able to stop them?
