Would love to get some plans for the three Thunderbirds elevator cars to go with Gary Pilsworths Fireflash, It would look really cool with the Fireflash resting on top of them.

Your best bet might be getting the show, then doing screen grabs. I haven't seen any plans or renders, but that is a really good idea!

Apparently Airfix included the little vehicles in their Fireflash model kit (I didn't even know they had one!), picture below.

In reply to MONDO about Elevator Cars

Hello MONDO. Gary Pilsworth is mentioned quite alot on this Zealot Forum, i have seen some of his works here in threads, some special for Gerry Anderson Productions. I can't remember how to make a short cut to his pages {threads} I came upon them shortly after i became a member on this Forum. If you ask in the right forum/thread i bet he would possibly design the elevator cars for everyone to be able to build. I would like the cars too, my son would be able to download them for me to get out of the printer. I could try to build them. I hope you find Gary Pilsworth MONDO and he can help. Back to you.

It worked to find Gary Pilsworth

Hello MONDO, sorry for the amount i did, but the short cut worked:thumb: It is Gary Pilsworth, he is the man who creates the wonderful Gerry Anderson models. Back to you.

Gary lives at papermodelers.com now and has several more models there including the Firefly and Mole, no elevator cars I'm afraid but he is very loyal to the Fandersons so he may well get round to them. It's always worth asking him and there's quite a few of us here that roam the two sites just join up and remember to say hello

Thank you to GIXERGS

Dear GIXERGS. Thank you very much for helping MONDO and myself about Gary Pilsworth. I hope he designs the Elevator Cars some day so that MONDO gets his wish to come reality. I have read lots of good things about Gary, many of those things are in your GIXERGS/STINGRAY Forum/thread. I have tried to post a message there, but a man called ZATHROS did something to the GIXERGS/STINGRAY Forum/Thread, he said something not too very nice about the postings i made, i think it was he who put a padlock symbol on that Forum/Thread. I was away for a while and when i came back in i tried to ask ZATHROS why he had padlocked the GIXERGS/STINGRAY Forum/Thread but it told me that this member no longer exists. Perhaps he was told off about the padlock and has left, but the padlock is still there. I find this very upsetting because i enjoyed that Forum/thread. Can you GIXERGS remove the padlock because it is your GIXERGS/STINGRAY Forum/thread and what would it be to do with ZATHROS it's not his Forum/Thread it is yours. When i looked around some others i found lots of these padlock symbols, it looks to me like ZATHROS was trying to stop people enjoying certain things and i haven't got any clues as to why he would want to do that. I communicated with REPLIES to some forum/threads that he was in, i thought he was alright but i think now that i might have been wrong about him. I don't come here upsetting people, i like to look at peoples works and they really fascinate me, the fun you have makes me happy to come here, and i sometimes join in. I know from what i have read about you GIXERGS and some others, that you are all special and look out for each other, might i say "like a family". I have to go now. Back to you.

Hi David I confess I hadn't realised the thread had been locked,it's a very long and old thread which maybe the reason why although it would leap back to life every so often. It would be a shame if it were to stay locked it has over 460 replies and more than 29,000 views, went pass being a thread about Stingray and became a vault for our childhoods and an area to clown about in.The thread managed to stay strong through a particularly bleak period of Zealot and even continued on the Papermodelers forum where it currently has over 660 replies and more than 32,600 views,it was even given a more accurate sub-title of Ramblings by people who refuse to grow up as there was so much more than Stingray in it.Unfortunately I am unable to unlock the thread, that would be down to a moderator but I will ask if it can be opened again,if the mods believe that there is enough interest still then it may well live again failing that we will have to ambush another thread and bend it to our will:twisted:
All the very best Phil(Gixergs)

For GIXERGS {Phil} and his friend EKUTH

Dear Phil {GIXERGS} My Son thought i was going nutty, when i read that you had got a friend EKUTH to remove the padlock from your GIXERGS/STINGRAY forum/thread i started to clap and cheer, i did that without thinking so he thought i was going nutty. I am so happy to know that you can now continue all the good and happy things in your forum/thread. I will go there and look at all the things again. I think that EKUTH is the man in charge here, and i for one would shake him by the hand for doing what he has done for you and all of us - Thank you EKUTH:thumb: MONDO you will enjoy the forum/thread by GIXERGS {Phil} and all his friends {like a family} Back to you.

There was a bleak period for Zealot some time back and a lot of bad feeling generated among members meant a lot of people left or were made to leave. When it was resolved this forum was left depleted of members and without a captain.Ekuth decided to bite the bullet and took over and has done a bloody good job of it despite going through an unimaginably bleak period himself.A lot of members returned to support him and the forum and sadly some felt that they could not forget the events that caused them to leave which is sad as between the two forums, here and papermodelers, there is an unimaginable amount of talent to be shared and a lot of fun too.I am very glad you enjoy the Stingray thread I just posted that Gary had a Stingray model after that the thread just took life and we just went with it.Take a look at Papermodelers.com as well join up and introduce yourself the more people that roam the two together the better and yes Ekuth is the man in charge and I wish people would remember that and forget the bad times, old and not so old,and enjoy the 2 sites together. Thanks Ekuth.

Thanks for the little insight into the history of the sites though I am sorry you had to do it. I am sure many of the new guys (like me) have no idea what has transpired in the past and really don't care, except that we enjoy the association and wish all to go well.

IF ANY OF THE POWERS THAT BE read this, may I make a humble suggestion. So much of what is posted is incredably advanced and beyond our beginning efforts. I log on every day (some times several times) just to bask in the visual knowledge of what can be done. But it makes me feel the fool to post anything I have done; yet I am told that my 'status' here depends on how many posts I make. Maybe there could be a "Newbee Corner" to help some of get started and not feel that our efforts are too embarassing to be shown. John

I've posted very few models,I have limited time due to "things" and even less talent, really I have not so much built as perpetrated papercraft and I was reluctant to post them,I did though and by and large I got positive replies and a lot of tips, there may well be some replies that might seem mean,it happens, more so in an international community where people rely on translators to publish in a language other than their native one, intent and context can be lost. Most replies will be positive and helpful to anyone of any standard that posts and any that are not are probably just not getting the point across in the way they want, anything too upsetting just tell a moderator via private message and they will get to the bottom of it,the thing is don't be afraid to post your builds there is untold talent on here and other forums that will help develop skills and your confidence,As to building the number of posts that's easy if you still feel intimidated by the models posted by others then just post in their thread the question "how the hell did you do that" you increase your post number and probably get useful tips.As for a Newbie section,I'm sure if you ask Ekuth he would consider it but why split the forum into newbie and expert we are after all a community just put in your thread that you haven't built many kits,or are new or I'm standing on the window sill as I post this be nice and you will get helpful tips like get back inside and close the window, never be embarrassed to try and never be afraid to ask people in other threads for help after all if we all worried about being compared to the other builders there would only be a few people posting and one of them would be UHU02,and he designs the kits he builds as well! Go on give it a try post a thread of one of your builds, you never know it could encourage others.

This i excellent advice and very well written Phil. We all have to start somewhere, and even now i have made a few - some end up in that collectors corner {the bin :) } just give it a go, you will amaze yourself with what you can achieve. Like Phil says, we are all here to help and advise if we can. :thumb:
