Not so far! Hopefully it won't with the visor in.
It's also pretty cold here right now, so there's not much opportunity for it to

Visor being changed to mirror red and shall be dual layered as such-

Both thighs are done now, and the helmet is a nice shade of black. I think it needs more bondo and sanding, but that'll have to wait 'til next paycheque.
Only things left to make from cardstock are the feet, shins/knees, handplates and part of the upper arm bits.

Gettin' there!

That's really comin' out good. Even with the rain setback you suffered, it looks as though as you will make it in time. But again, I have a few questions:
1 - you are you using A4 paper, but how many sheets do you expect to use to make the whole armor?
2 - how are you going to make the dual-layer visor? Just cutting part of it off and reglueing doesn't seem to do the trick...
As I have already told you, I intend to make and armor like that for my kids. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Wow, totally cool. I love Halo and I hoping to find some of their card models to down load soon. Like others have said already...it is coming along very nice. I'm sure the end will be awesome!!

Haven't been taking many photos of the progress so far, but the torso outside is almost entirely hardened, and the only pepping to do is one forearm, the boots, and the upper arms. :)
After that, gotta throw together an undersuit and fibreglass everything. Can only do this on weekends, I'm using a garage out of town.

You are doing an AMAZING job on this.
Like I have said before, you can make good money with this sort of thing. People who are really into this sort of thing will pay good money to have someone (like you) make things like this for them. I am originally from Seattle, WA. (I am now living in Eastern Europe), and I know for a fact that if you were there you could easily start your own business there and have good clientele base.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Thanks! I've really been thinking about it, this project alone has taken so much time I'm wondering if I could squeeze more work in between school and my actual job. Being attacked by a possibly rabid cat yesterday also put a hamper on the project, had a few claws dug out of my skull and have a few wounds that's barely closed up twenty four hours later..
Friend is commissioning me for a Buzz Lightyear build in the near future, though. :)

I am sorry to hear about the attack. I hope that you did not get Rabies. 21 shots in the abdomin does not sound like fun.

Good luck with the Buzz Lightyear build. Are you going to post a build thread on it as well?

Sorry to hear about that cat attack, I hope you get a full recovery pretty soon. What a weird thing to happen!
But I'm here to write once more about my admiration for your work. Looking amazingly fantastic, man! Go for it, and keep us posted please!

Thanks guys! Yeah, the owners are getting him declawed and he doesn't have rabies, so it was unnecessary worry. Either way, I started my girlfriend's set today, she's getting a smaller version that's been scaled and modified for a girl for her chestplate-

We started the undersuit. It's taught when pulled, simply cushion foam inside fabric. We'll be texturing it with hexagonal pattern and attaching it to a tight spandex shirt.

And here's the undersuit pattern, Mike Loh rendered. I added some details, vectored it and scaled it directly to my proportions.

May post a build thread on that too! It won't be started 'til summer at the earliest, though. No time between our Halo group.
