Tried downloading this model... the extractor program from Daishi's link...and the viewer program...just to obtain a copy of Viinturuth for my collection. Nothing worked! The extractor kept giving me errors and the model's files would not 'unzip'. I'm sure that this model is worth the time to create, but I have never had this much trouble with a download file before. Too much hassle...why not make it for WinZip? Not some strange program I've never heard of until now. Even the PDF versions won't open after they are downloaded. I have deleted all the above from my computer after too many unsucessful attempts to open the files. Thanks anyway! The model still looks awesome!

The problem is probably thx to the host ive moved the site to. It gives me a lot of trouble, but i dont have the time at the moment to move the site again. You can try the "mirror" link, its on a different host altogether so it should work.

I cant help it you didnt heard of 7zip. Ive used it for years now, and in most cases it produces smaller files after compression in my experience than any other program I know.

Please, what kind of paper you used?
Matte Photo Paper 120gsm??
thanks!! ^^

Actually turns out I've used 170-190 gsm paper instead of 120-150 grm
I didnt know because the labels on the paper packets didn't have any designation printed. I've bought some paper at a different store and they put a barcode sticker on the packets that say 190 gsm for the paper i thought to be about 150 gsm.

BTW just an advice: you should heavily reinforce the wing and leg joints, because if they're too weak the dragon will probably tilt forward and slack its wings forward as the joints give out. I've had to attach external wire braces to the knees to keep mine standing strait, and had to insert some additional bracing into the wings themselves.

(ok mine is probably a lot heavier than i intended since the paper is thicker)

sorry to bother you, but I have some questions:
the impression was that you made on paper A4 or A3?

I bought 120g matte paper, but some parts were small and thin and are tearing easily.

I do not know if the seller cheated me by sending a sheet of thin weight: (

I wanted to ask your opinion: should I print on A3 sheet and 150-180g is better?

Thank you for your attention and excuse the bad English xD (google translator)

I use 160-180g A4 paper, and yes some parts are really small, there is a reason i designated it very hard.

If you Print it on A3 make sure to reinforce it especially in the legs.
Also it will be really BIG.
You can find a rotatable image of it in my gallery, should work as a reference.

Dude,
That dragon is unbelievable! I can't believe it's not a conventional sculpture!
Completely amazing, you have a gift :)

thanks, I had gone to the gallery but my eyes were so drawn to the images at the bottom that I missed the row of links.
I see you used the same 360 rotation scripts as I did, it looks very nice. You may want to take the pictures from a bit farther away as the wings are sometimes cut (same with the terminators feet.)
Another thing I found was that by putting a white sheet of paper on the turn table one is less distracted by the turntable itself.

thx
i think i saw it in one of your posts and searched on the name, so its not surprising that I ended up using the same scripts. (and this one looked like the best one anyway :) )

Just so you know, Ive officially asked if this would be possible here. I think it's really cool. It doesn't take anytime at all to load on my computer and I have plain old DSL service. I don't know if the software package used on the forum has that capability though. It would be neat if in the "Advanced Mode' it had a button like YouTube videos, though you would be surprised how man people still don't know how to (and that you can) embed YouTube videos here. :)
