Little but some progress. Probably doesn't look much different from last set of pictures, but its lower and wider. More squat, if that's english.

Squat is english. Means to get lower, but describes things pefectly for both activities

Just back from a few days in London. Stopped at Harry Potter exhibition at Warner Bros Studio just north of London. There are some fantastic paper models there for pre-productions, even trees! and the last big one is awesome  (over used word, but not in this case) Worth a look even if not a fan, but the kids loved it.

Anyway I digress, a bit of progress on gun ports and a bit of technique.
Used the first drill bit that came to hand to form the straight curve. Folded back the flap and glued, which then holds the curve. Then used a plastic ball from airsoft gun to form the corners.

Good job on the petals on the end of that part, very smooth! That part alone is worth a tutorial! :)

I had an ambitious plan to make the guns move, but decided that would be far to complex at this stage, maybe later if a build a deluxe version

So fixed guns. 1 gun attached to angled back plate

I have to say that it is well worth the wait.
You are doing a FANTASTIC job in both designing and building it.
My hat is off to you.

No time as usual, sorry for no updates for ages.

Just been working on a few details. And I must make you aware of cheating  I used wooden cocktail sticks for the missiles

Sorry to be taking so long over it.

Thanks for all the interest, it helps to keep me motivated. I try to get something done every night, but life gets in the way.

And I've worked out my photography is awful . I might blame the camera.

This thing looks awesome! All it needs is a little paper George Peppard and Jan-Michael Vincent to go with it.

Looks great. I wish I could design in 3D. I've worked in graphic design for print for many years, but 3D design is beyond me. It would be great to scale it to fit a 4 or 6 inch action figure and them make a couple of custom figures to go with the vehicle.

I believe there were a set of A-Team figures made in 1/64 for a die-cast vehicle set, definitely a George Peppard available there. Also Galoob did figures back in the 1980s.

I have those Galoob figures and the big van they go in! I forgot about them. Repainted Army men would probably look good too. Finding some large "scorpions" would make a great desert diorama.
