Genius Designer Master Builder
Wanna hear something really, really sad?
I finished the first half of my Sulaco model and wanted a more used, a more dirty fashion. Last week, my printer broke down. And I can't get the same model!! Worse, I can't get the printing settings right, so the rear half might look completely different.*sigh*
Just decided I give the already built section to my daughter (yes, she really likes it, strange) and start building from scratch.

And it took a night, but I printed all the available downloads, just in case...

no me something like this happened to them too left the printer but again such a difference does not it does not matter keep it goin '

let it be and continue in the same project

I would like to see the different now than it looks

Probably needed to calibrate you printer, or you previous printer was not calibrated, In any event, your daughter looks really happy, (and cute too! )!! :)

My printer head just gave up, and it was an option to simply just buy a new one, but it was far too expensive when it happened (70 Euro, 100 $). Looking back, I must say: Oh if I had just bought it! Anyway, my little one is happy now.
Thanks for the warm welcome!

 When I saw this model My mouth just dropped. I have to say it is one of the best models I have seen Jan do. Is there any plans for doing other movie props like the Terminator gun or similar? Jan you models are always excellent and have great attention to detail

As I understand, it's a daunting project that should be taken slowly. This is one of those projects that if done incorrectly will make so many very upset. Jan is doing an Exceptionally Excellent job, and if that means it's going to be another 3 years till completion, then it's totally worth it. you can't rush perfection.......

but to answer your question.....it's about 90% done

To Whom it may concern,

The model of the Sulaco is indeed impressive - but I do find one aspect of this model that is extremely frustrating... the time that it has taken to make it available.

When it the complete model - with all of the downloadable files - going to be finished and ready to download?

From what I understand... it has taken nearly three years already - and it still is not completed.

Yours faithfully,
David Brown.

Jan has used his own time to design and he has put a lot of effort into this design. He also opened a new website, which cost money to run. He is also giving the model away for free.

Jan has a real life and I'm affraid real life gets in the way sometimes. The guy needs to earn a living, so he can take as long as he wants.

This is one of the issues I hate about this hobbie, it takes a lot of time and effort to design these models and most are given away for free, yet the odd 1 or 2 people can't wait. It happened with paper replica's Optimus Prime as well.

You are only new here (11 posts), for you to come in and make a post like you did was wrong. Have some patience. Why don't you start building some of the other parts, by the time you've done all the other parts the project will most likely be finished.

Gentlemen, Please, as hard as it may be, do not respond to other members idiotic or untoward statements, regardless of the nature of the post or statement, it's actually a violation of the rules. This person is no longer a member here......end of line................

Jan Rukr's works speak for themselves. Those unaware of this are just that. Why sully yourselves, let it be, we get to these kinds of posts usually sooner than later. :)

Great work

Just want to let others know that Jan has other great works out there, such as his Alien's Pulse rifle & Terminator Plasma rifle just to name a few. Just look for his website and you will find them there along with other beautiful models:wave:

@ Dented Rick: No, the "member banned" refers to the member that was quoted in your post. After he was banned, this will show up on anyone's post who replied to him.

And Wow Skoda! is it possible for you to do anything wrong? This build is just amazing! (I know I've raved about it before, but totally deserved)

The more that I watch this thread, the better the model looks.
What you are doing with it is beyond AMAZING!!!

The time, effort, and work that you are putting into the detail of this model is absolutely MINDBLOWING!!!
