PaperAir that looks quite exciting. i have been fighting with that model and was so relieved when i saw a couple of the photos you posted so far of the hull. it may sound silly, but i was completely stumped on how to form it. i set that model aside and decided to fight it again after more experience. after seeing just a couple of the photos you posted, i think i may be crazy enough to attempt it again. until my next stumbling block lol.

The Piano pictures came out really good. Do the same procedure for the boat, press lightly, let the Autofocus kick in, the click. Make sure your camera is set to where you see the little flower (Macro), to get the best closeups. :)

The Hull came out great. I'd like to see some nice crisp sharp pictures when your finished! :)

Yeah!! That's much better! What you can also do is move the camera slightly around first, lightly hold the shutter button to activate the autofocus, shift it a couple of degrees, then slightly touch the shutter again, eventually, you will find where the center of focus is. The 2nd and 3rd pictures were best, This model will be a real beauty when done!! :)

I keep going back to this topic, excited to see the progress. i am thinking of using cardstock for the main, but with all the small intricate cut outs required of using standard paper as well, but i am not sure how that will turn out because i have never worked with both mediums. i am hoping that will make it easier to cut without the tearing i seem to end up with. the joys of being new to it lol

If I was to make it reg size I would use 100 lb on the large parts .With cerial box cardboard where needed. And 60lb paper on the small stuff. My paper store is ordering a swivel knife for me.The blade swivels for the diffical cuts.

looks like a 100 mile roadtrip has two reasons now... a grocery store and a good office supply shop. i only had 100 and 20 lb paper, i think a few additional weights will be a good investment.

You can always laminate paper too. :)

I cleaned the lens.

That usually works out really well. I did that on a video camera I have after I ruined a picnic video I took. Always good to do. You really needs to loose the cleaner so you don't lose the optic film protectant. The pics look way better! :)

Dry Q tip

I think the siding is going to be an excellent enhancement to this model. You going to do the windows too?

Using a dry que tip works. If you use alcohol, it has the chance of going behind the lens and causing all kinds of problems.

Yes got some clear packing plastic from the girlfriends doll collection .Also going to try widow screen for the chain link fence on the railing.
