Good luck on this! I know Bevbor and he does excellent work. Quite a lot of detail in most of his work.

Small Update

Ok, I built the back piece...

With some more tiny greebles:

And the piece that goes on with that.

I'll try to keep working on it, but I'm pretty busy at the moment (aren't we always). Updates as soon as possible!

Thanks. It's interesting, it's not a particularly complicated model, and yet it''s got these small details that really add to the effect. It's a great model, and I can't wait to finish it!

This should be interesting! :)

Yep! sign1

I've put my Tars pelican project aside (for lack of motivation) to work on this in my spare time. After I finish this I think I'll maybe finish and post Tars Pelican and then start working on the big guns, V.F.R.'s pelican!

More Armor

Right, so I put the side armor on...

And began working on the small hatches that go on the top body piece

These greebles...Man.

On another note, here's a picture of Venus crossing in front of the Sun, which I took yesterday with a solar filter. Pretty cool, huh?

Also, if anyone has any comments, feel free to post them. I'm somewhat new here, so any feedback would be appreciated!

oh wow... at that scale, id be pulling my hair out.
question: are you planning on hardening it and painting it? since i notice its not made from cardstock?

That is a great picture. It was overcast in New England, what else is new! Your tank is really taking shape. I would suggest either cutting formers, or, box/rectangular structures to give it structural integrity. This will help it stand the test of time, which can be brutal for paper models. I would also consider using 110 lb. card stock, laminating it as necessary. :)

Originally, that's what I was planning, but now I'm actually thinking of this as more of a test build, with card stock being used to build the final model. Since it's not the simplest model (at least for me...), I figured that a little practice couldn't hurt.

Yeah, it was cloudy here in Oregon right up until the transit started, then the clouds parted and you could see it perfectly.

I wasn't sure how sound the model was, so I wanted to be able to figure out the ins and outs of the model before using cardstock.

By the way, sorry for the long outage. Things got a little hectic around here and I didn't have time to work on the model much. I will finish this, so stay tuned!

Oregon is a state I really want to visit. I live in Connecticut. For some reason, every picture of Oregon I see draws me to it. I don't know why. It may be because of a girl I met when I was very young, and how nice she was, in a time that I didn't have many nice people around me. It's a beautiful state.

All right, I've made a little more progress. The top of the body is now attached, and more progress on the treads. Unfortunately, no pics, and I am also leaving for Alaska for 2 weeks on Saturday. Just a small setback, and I hope to continue working on the model as soon as I get back. Sorry for the frustratingly slow progress, I just have so little time to work on this.

I am a huge fan of the Halo-verse and love the vehicles. This looks to be an interesting build you have going.

The ZOMBIEOFTHEPAST Thread

Guess what? I got into my account!bounce7balloon6:wave7:

I won't actually have to post from the Zombieofhtepast account. I shall be beginning this project anew very soon (say in the next few days) and shall post more then. I promise promise promise that I'll be on more often and that I'll finish this.

If you want to start the another thread in your original name, do, and I will merge this post into it. :)

Well this thread was started with my actual account, so I can just use this one.

Also, I've set aside time on Sunday to start the cardstock (actual) version of the tank, so look for an update then.
