When Starbuck returned to the Galactica (with his viper/raider hybrid "The Jalopy"), he was allowed to go to Earth to help Troy and Dillon with their mission. Starbuck was given a Landram to help with transport and defense against the Cylons.
While on patrol in the LR, Starbuck had stepped out to take a look around, as he did, he tripped, fell, hit his head and passed out.

In the mean time three guys (Col. John "Hannibal" Smith, Cpt. H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock, and Sgt. Bosco 'B.A.' Baracus ) were camped nearby and had heard to noise of the LR and went to investigate.

Upon finding the LR and Starbuck (passed out nearby), the men decided to take the LR and Starbuck back to camp.
After a few hours, Starbuck woke up with a savior case of amnesia. Hannibal started to call Starbuck “Faceman”, because he had a “pretty” face. Later on the three men decided to give Starbuck a proper name, Templeton "Faceman" Peck. Sense they found him in a uniform (that they did not recognize), Hannibal gave him the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

In the meantime, B.A. took the LR and gave it a good look over and went through the computer system.
Afterwards, decided to paint it and give it a little attitude.

This is what he came up with...

Didn't know Starbuck was a 'he' :)
That's what you get when hit on the head hard :p

In BSG TOS (and one episope in Galactica 1980 "The return of Starbuck"), Starbuck was played by Dirk Benedict who also played con-man Lieutenant Templeton "Face" Peck in 1980s action television series, The A-Team

That is the reason for the cross over intro.

.....Then when he got back into acting, they re-booted the series, and "Face" got a sex change so he could act again. ;)

Hohoho, you are so mean..! sign1

Actually, the main reason I instantly got hooked on "The A-Team" was seeing Dirk as a main star again and the Cylon Centurion in the opening credits (with wobble eye sound over the music!). That cameo was awesome. Ya know, "The A-Team" was first shown on German television in 1987 and they changed the opening credits so that the Centurion was seen at the beginning of every episode.

Battlestar was before A-team, and my funniest scene in A-team was when Faceman was in an amusement park waiting for Hanibal and a Cylon walked past. Faceman got this real funny look on his face and after a moment's hesitation said: "Nah..."

For me, it was about the Van.....I Love the Van. and I was always excited to see what kind of contraption they would come up with that week. :)

And that's what I meant, too!

The amusement park was in fact the Universal Studios and the Cylon was part of the Battle of Galactica Studio Tour.

That looks really good in those colors! You're going to have to do a "Pimp My Ride" version next!

Thank you for the compliment.

As for a "Pimp My Ride" version, I will leave that one up to whom ever builds their own LR.
Although, in doing my own research for this model, I have come across a few fan based deigns that look rather interesting (some with different turrets, some with larger gunner stations, and others with a variety of other configurations).
So if one of those people that made those interesting fan designs decides to actually build one, I would really like to see it.

I might do one that's like the old quad .50 halftracks from WWII. 4 big lasers mounted on the back, and used to shoot down Cylon Raiders.

Finished!!!

Well ladies and gentlemen, I have finished the A-TEAM LR.
I am sorry that I did not do a detailed build thread on this one, but I figured that sense I posted the detailed thread of the test build, anyone that is thinking about building this model can follow that one.

As you see here I did add the "Cylon Frak you" decal on the gunner station as well.
