What materials did you use to make your die-o-rama?:thumb: that moon surface area looks grate and the buggy looks good to.

Hi,
the moon surface is made of gypsum. To get the moon craters I stuck cups with different diameters in the liquid gypsum and I pulled them out just before the gypsum gets solid.

Hello, I have all the parts, and 5 of the assembly instructions, I am missing the one for the cargo pod... does anyone have them that can email them to me?

The one designed by Kieth W. and Marc...

Thank YOU!

Sorry, but I missed the instruction for the cargo pod also. I found an interesting building-report at kartonbau.de. You also should use cardstock for the pod to improve the stiffnes. I had two attempts, at last I used 1mm thick cardstock for the reinforcement.

More Building Questions

Thank you Loenf!

Question, what is the difference between the service and engineering modules? The parts seem similar, and the same in several steps... Just different options?

And, I did not find any instructions on how to install the engineering service modules into the frames... I can see a lot from your fine model, but not enough to really tell how to put it together... Any help would be appreciated :)

Yours, Tint

The module with the two doors, is the one behind the command module. For the pod-problem I will have a look at my photos. There is no instruction how to mount the pod at the frame. I remember that I just glue the pod direct with the frame.

So, does it just slide into the frame and glue?

I uploaded a pic of my engineering module for the one I am building now. The short answer is Yes, Slide the pod into the frame, Center it and glue it to the frame, However make sure you leave enough room at the back of the frame to place the tubes for the motor supports. I do hope this helps.

Here is a photo from the pod and backbone of the eagle. You just have to center the pod between the service- and the engineering-module. I hope this little sketch is helpfully.

Hey folks I am not trying to hijack this thread but didn't see the need to start a new one so here it goes. I have retextured the tanks for this model and would like some feed back on them. if they are liked then I am wiling to share them with the folks that want them. I am open to comments so let them fly.
The pictures show the original on the right next to the retextured one on the left.

Thanks

Great looking build there. Sure wish I had more time to build. Of course it doesn't help that the world is filled with so many shiny objects.... Hey what's that over there!

I think the retextured one is excellent. Releasing it as an add-on kit would be equally excellent. It takes the whole model up another notch IMHO.

cesandman9265e: WoW that looks great! I was looking at possibly going the tube route on the pod also:thumb:. Great build.

sjsquirrel: I have the creators permission to make the changes but am not really sure how to distribute them. Also I am working on cleaning up the skins on the rest of the ship as I am preparing for a 34" build of her. Right nowI think I will just leave it at peoples request.

If anyone wants them just ask.
