I have uploaded the ESKA Ekranoplan model by Dr. Gruning of the Soviet Union. This ship has am excellent history and some amazing power specs. It could cruise up to 76 m.p.h. in ground effect and do hops up to 150 feet +/1 at full speed. The ship/plane patrolled the Volga River for 10 years as part of the Fisheries and Wildlife protection. It could land on water and snow, or ice. It was made of plywood and fiberglass and stands as a milestone in the development of these kinds of craft. The wings were made to flex at the root. to facilitate landing.

The Iranian government stole the design of this craft and call it the "Bavar II" , Idon't know what happened to Bavar I. It is interesting in that they added a much more powerful engine and fly it routinely out of ground effect, loosing much of the fuel efficiency this craft gains in ground effect, but you get to see samples of the derivative craft fly!. Great for target practice!! That's the Soviet Zundapp BMW copy engine in there, talk about a workhorse of an engine!

All kidding aside, this craft could deliver medical aide quickly to any area that needs it. It has a decent payload. It could also undoubtedly carry a small rocket, but not with me inside, that 's for sure!

It's the Sinus infection. I just got over the Bronchitis, what's next!

I knew someone who moved to Arkansas once. He really liked it. He told me that from one Hollow to another could be like a different world though. I don't know if that's true.

It is very true. You can tell a big difference from town to town or just 10 miles. I live in the mountains (big hills) and it is beautiful here. I love the scenery and out door things here, but there are other things I hate about here, we won't get into that here. lol I really want to move to Alaska some day.

Wow, Alaska from Arkansas, wow, you are quite the man. An old fart like me gets cold and tired just thinking about that! I wish you the absolute best. I'd recommend getting a pilots license before you do that.

Thanks!! This is a really nice model by the way. If you make it, make sure you model if so that when it sits on a table the wing tip floats and tip are actually turned down in the front and that the floats are slightly below the fuselage. The real ones could take some abuse. The tuned down wing tips, 5 degrees I believe is why when you look at the craft it is always slightly nose up. The craft could hop 200 feet and only had 63 H.P.! It flew for 10 years up and down the Volga river as part of their environmental protection service. Thanks for trying the download out for me. :)

I'm waiting for your A-90. :p do you know the one that had six or eight turbojets on stubs above the forward fuselage? In the Navy we referred to it as " the Caspian Sea Monster".

Yes, also there is a paper model available of the other one. It is called the "LUN". I don't think I will be releasing the A90. I have built it but there is a certain complexity to the nose section that would frustrate many people. Nando may be making one though, and he does good work. :)
