A BIG "Thank you" to Coxxon & Co. and the "Jay's Galactica is lonely" team for giving us this beautiful model! :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

And since it is X-mas time, I give you all new and modified parts in one .zip so that you may build this revised version of the Gemini, too. The file contains the complete containers with classic and ZOIC markings. This gives you the opportunity to build three different versions of the ship (Apogee / ZOIC / ship pack version). I didn't add more rust and stains because I didn't want to alter the original texture too much. However, if someone wants an ugly, faded, rusty Gemini, please let me know and I'll see what I can do. Please note that these parts are the original size (100 %) and not the enlarged ones I used, so use a very sharp knife, tweezers and a magnifying glass. Enjoy! :p

Merry X-mas to all zealot members and a happy new year!:wave::wave::wave:

See you in 2011 with a completed Colonial Blaster, the Landram, four (!) Buck Rogers Thunderfighter mods and (hopefully) much more!

Wow.

I seem to use that subject a lot lately (Wow).

A fantastic build RF. The result is a beauty. And thanks for sharing your corrected parts. Saves me some work.

If I can I'll add a note to the download and link to this thread.

Merry Christmas to you,

Steve

To all of you: Thank you very, very much for your compliments! You are always welcome!

HOWEVER, THERE IS SOMETHING MISSING:

Somehow the additional engine exhaust parts didn't appear in the gemfre-rev-addon.jpg file.... :eek:ops:

I give you the revised page here (you may delete / overwrite the previous one).

In addition, I found some pics from battlebuck.com showing the original Gemini's colour scheme without desaturation. To keep it short: I did make some mistakes..... wall1wall1wall1wall1wall1

So please do NOT build the Apogee Gemini YET; I'll upload a revised version within the next few days. I am so sorry, but I think that's life...! :eek:ops::eek:ops::eek:ops:

CU then!

RF

P.S.: The Blaster is almost ready for unfolding. I'll keep you posted! BYE!

Happy New Year!

Here are the revised textures for the Apogee Gemini. As you can see they are a bit more colourful than the previous ones. Now you may GO for it! :thumb:

BTW, the battlebuck pictures reveal a curiosity: The container couplings on the Apogee Gemini are turned by 180° when compared to the ZOIC Gemini. If you build the Apogee Gemini, the domes must face the central spine. On the ZOIC Gemini, there are no domes and the little golden dots go inwards. The attached pictures show the difference.

I'll add new pics with corrected textures ASAP. CU!

Hello Raven!

The Colonial One I presented in the "Jay's"-thread hasn't been released yet. Development of the ship is on hold for the time being because I am concentrating on Buck Rogers' Thunderfighters at the moment (thread here at zealot). After that I will continue with the Colonial blaster, and then I will turn to the Col1 and the Colonial Movers again. But don't worry, the Col1 looks absolutely great and will be released in three different sizes. Please be patient, it's really worth the wait! :thumb:

That is such a beauty of a model, from my all time favorite series. The new NSG just plain rules. The scene where Apollo goes into the Tyllium factory the Cylons set up on the Asteroid has to be one of the best C.G. sequences modeling Newtonian physics!

That's right! :thumb: Everytime I see this scene I am thrilled, too. It is absolutely great. Major kudos to Mojo and ZOIC! :inw:

I can't wait to build it, I really can't wait to see more. I only wish I had someone give me textures for my Cylon.... Should I call Gabrial, or Steve, or Doug, or...What's the guys name that's over in China doing a shoot...
Oh well. Can't wait to see more.:thumb:
Did you try asking Jan Rükr for a tut? His textures are top-notch. I really would love to know how he does it.
