MiG Ye-8 in 1/200

Here are some pics of Vladimir's MiG Ye-8, an interceptor from the early sixties and a derivative of the MiG-21. Two prototypes were built. This is the second one, the Ye-8/2.

The original model is avalaible here in the download section as a white model and a color one.

I resized the white model to 1/200, cleaned the canopy, changed the wings and most of the undercarriage. Actually mine is too short! I have to lengthen the legs of the main landing gear before I build the Ye-8/1.

The last pics show the Ye-8/2 with my first test-build and an FT-7 I used as a testbed for the missiles.

I also buit one of Rawen's MiG-15UTI but it was a pre-release model (it was too short). I should build the final version now (and change the landing gear of the Ye-8.)

It will be a good thing if your new model is desinged on Gagarine's Mig colors...(I never seen it )...Say me when you had finished.

They're Vladimir's models. Not mine. He also has some S300 launchers/radars/command posts in the military/armor download section. :mrgreen:
