Hi B-Manic,
sorry, but the hull form of the Fairmile D is nearly impossible to do with my methods of designing paper models. Too many edges, torpedo scallops etc.

Horst

Fairmile B

Hello,
the legendary Fairmile B Motor Launch is now available at CFP. She comes in two versions: a heavily armed anti-submarine motor launch of 1944 and a torpedo boat conversion of 1941, when Britain faced the threat of a German invasion.

More info at Coastal Forces in Paper

Regards
Horst

New: Strath-class trawler "Benjamin Coleman"

Hello,
there's a new model from CFP, a British Admiralty trawler of the strath-class.

In 1917 the Admiralty ordered three classes of trawlers to substitute the war losses among the requisitioned ships. The designs were based on successful trawlers of well-known shipyards. After WWI the boats were sold to the fishing industry. In WWII many of them, like the "Benjamin Coleman", were requisitioned again. The names of the trawlers came from the muster rolls of "HMS Victory" and "HMS Royal Sovereign" at the battle of Trafalgar.

It is an interesting ship which I designed mainly upon the original plans, they are available online. The trawler had a 43 years life, serving in two world-wars and as a fishing vessel. Therefore also the model can be built in different versions.

Interesting site thanks for posting I'm new to the forum but would anyone who has an interest in the WWII Tugs have any information on the H.M.S Stornaway, she was stationed in the Med in 1943. I interviewed 2 men who were rescued by her crew and would like to make one last try to find any of them. Modelrs often have books or contacts.

Thanks

Ken

I am putting money on the side for a couple of these beuties!
Fairmiles were a significant part of the post WWII Hellenic fleet and I would love to build one in Greek colours!
