Who was looking for the MARS Center shuttle?

This is embarrassing -- Someone sent me a PM asking if I had the MARS Center shuttle, which I managed to find. But I seem to have lost the PM, or something with Zealot ate it, and life has been so hectic of late that (and I'm sorry for this) I can't remember who was asking for it.

So anyway, if you're the person, send me a PM with your e-mail address.

Ugh. Computers....

well thanks for the effort, but somehow i found(possibly yours) a source for the MCSS(mars cntr space shuttle).. only if you can PDF your mars shuttle thread and have it sent to me..
also, just a curious question, would the AXM belly files accurately after rescaling, fit the mars shuttle bottom? i thought of slapping it under the built mcss to accurately mimic the real vehicle....

also londonbluemisty did just that using software.
so far no reply from him..

plus what texture of paper should i try looking for use as AFRSI?

would it be linen?

BTW, any plans for the X-40/37 SMV?

The paper I used for the AFRSI was a textured art paper. It's hard to describe. You'd just have to go to an art-supply store and look through their collection of paper. It was a heavy stock, though.

having leafed(online) through photos of the last 3 OV's, most AFRSI looked like linen, i found tons of thin linen sheets, but the color was a tad bit off. i also intend to use the same brand of linen paper for the cream colored areas on the wings.

just as expected, the tile pattern on the bottom was what you experienced, but dont frak, i think i will in fact use AXM's new belly files, and weather it first tile by tile(i saw detailed tile damage info on the net for each of the 3 OV's. but i forgot now where they are. i intend to build OV-105 Endeavour, latest 2010 config)

as for the the SSME tubing, i think i would use metal wires there...
what would it be like? that what im going to try.

will wait for your build thread in PDF..

My SSME plumbing was thin strips of laminated silver paper. I laminated it, cut it into thin strips, then curled it around the edge of my knife to curl it.

The belly of the MARS Center orbiter isn't that bad, except the body flap has tiles going only one direction instead of two. I think I used an enlarged version of the AXM body flap, but it's been awhile so I don't really remember. Once I weathered the belly with gray and black pastels, everything looked ok.

ok heres my 411 on my MCSS build:
>got AXM's new Shuttle belly tiles(closed umbilical doors) printed @ 144%
>laminated the engine box bottom w/c had no darn tile pattern, and it fits well, though a little trimming needed.
>same goes for the bodyflap. now i need details on the body flap sides. if you still have those 'brick' patterns you made with word, attach it to my email(touge_drifter1@yahoo.com or xhack2@mail2world.com)
>reprinted the nose section on paper, so as to 'cover up' my wood-glue fillings on the HRSI area.
>planning to rescale AXM's shuttle framework file to get the trademark STS 'cheekbone' shape on the area of the crewcabin meets the PBDs.
>reprinting PDBs again, due to print error(length too short)
>reprinting OMS parts to get the tile pattern
>reprinting engine box to get the engine area tile pattern(or maybe frankein-patch something up, since i see patterns in different directions on real ones)
>planning to edit via GIMP photo manipulation software the PBDs and fuselage side to lessen headaches...
>print/make tile pattern for body flap: crosswise running pattern for the engine side.

and here's what i need:
>appropriate sized wires(for SSME tubing)
>some tile patterns
>if you'd like: HD pics of the AFRSI blankets, your model or real life... emphasis on tail, nose and OMS.
>more sharp bladessign1
>more timewall1
>less nagging from commanding officer(GF):curse:[nah i love her, and she's quite interested too in this project y'know....]
