I was just admiring Lego Death Star and wishing to owning, although I know i could never afford it. So, i thought what a good idea it would be if anyone could manage to make something similar as a papermodel.... Any thoughts?

Okay, you need to clarify: Death Star, or Death Star II?

The reason I ask is that there is already a fine paper model of the Death Star on the net, but no model of the Death Star II exists.

I was mostly thinking one like the lego model where you have the interior rather than the exterior....But, could you tell me where I could find the one you mentioned? The only DS model I have ever see is a half globe one.....Now that you mentoned it I also think that the lego model is an amalgam of the two DS. (various "rooms" to make a sphere) Thanks

Death Star II model...

There is to be a Death Star II model built... but you have a bit of a wait on your hands. The guy over at 'Aliens Papercraft' has it on his 'to do' list. If you are not familiar with his work you should be. He is awesome, he has done the Aliens Pulse Rifle and Endo Rifle (full scale) and many more. He is currently building a Sulaco that will make you wet yourself when you see it (it will be at least 4 feet long when completed) and he is also working on a Hunter Killer Tank (I think). So like I said it might be awhile, but if you see his Sulaco you will know that when he does the Death Star II it will be insanely and terrifyingly perfect (not to mention a 'bear' to build)!

Sorry mates.

The Death Star model that l made many, many years ago (long, long time ago) was from the link below.
http://www.phoxim.de/raimund_peter_deathstar/raimund_peter_deathstar.html

It dose look so much alike to the Death Star paper model from paperstarships site.

Yes, I made an extra fold in the superlaser dish. The reason was this was for a friend of mine who had already cut and flipped a depression into a globe to make a Death Star, and I didn't want to go to the trouble of cutting the hole bigger, so I just folded the dish.
