Hello everybody.
Sojuz 28 launched in 1978 with our Kosmonaut Vladimir Remek onboard heading for Salyut 6 space station. On the occasion of this historical flight (first international crew and after russia and USA it was our small Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia that time) in space :p ) L.Badalec created this gorgeous model of R7 on the launch pad and now I´m going to build it :wave:

Beautiful model of the launch vehicle and pad!

I'm sure you've heard the old joke. When Soyuz 28 landed, the doctors were surprised to see that Remek's hands were flaming red. As the doctors tried to diagnose his condition, the Czech explained: Every time he tried to push a button or turn a switch, the Soviet cosmonauts slapped his hand and yelled, "DON'T TOUCH THAT!!!" ;-}

Nice joke... But I must take Remek´s sides - he was a part of the crew...not only the space tourists :thumb:

Of course! I actually have a large-format photo book entitled "Spolechny Let (Lyot?)" (transliteration) about the mission.

soyuz available

Specially for this thread I have had a few copies printed - 'digital offset', so much better colours than laserprints. Not cheap, but worth it, I think. Mail me: da.denbakker@planet.nl. Give me your address, so I can find out the postage to where you live.

Paper Kosmonaut

Does the central stage have an underside? It looks very strange like this, diappearing in the middle...
for the rest I think it's a nice model.
Wat schuift ie? (-;
