Greetings to all,
Here is my latest build. It is the F-302 from SG-1 produced by jaybat.
I like the model, but I did have a problem with building it. I had to print it on A-3 paper (which doubled the size). A-4 format was just too small for me to work with.

Please enjoy.

Nice clean build...too bad you didn't post the build....Jay's models look a little intimidating even with some of his instructions......

Thank you every one for your kind words. This one did not come with instructions. I have to use the pictures that came with it as a guide. He dose have nice looking models. The one major problem that I had with this, was that It was too small for me to work with on A-4 format paper.:eek:ops: So I printed out on A-3 (doubling the size) and I was able to build it with little problem.
Sorry guys, but I guess I will not be joining the "micro model" club any time soon.:eek:ops:

Jgderuvo,
This model is from Jaybat. I am not sure if I can openly post the link, but if you PM me, I can send it to you.

It's OK to post a link to Jaybat's site. It's better not to link to the model directly as designers would like folks to see their whole site. If you've altered the model in any material way it's best to get permission from the designer before you post pictures of it. It's not OK to post the altered design without the explicit permission of the designer.

For more discussion on copyright just do a search on the site for it. You'll find more information (and misinformation) than you'd ever want to know. Please, no more copyright threads.

The only "altering" I did was to print it on A-3 format instead of A-4 format, because A-4 format was too small for me to work on it.

I wasn't intending to come down on you Rhaven; it just seemed like a good opportunity to address the policy on posting links here and I sort of wandered off onto the dreaded slippery slope of copyrights.

imho you should have no problems with the enlargement you did. You explained why you did it and that should be enough. This can lead to a very slippery slope so I'll stop.

Thank you for posting the link to Jaybats site. I wish every build thread did that.

One last thing: I like your build. It's nicely done with a great finish on the cockpit glass. How'd you do that?

Elliott,
No worries, mate. I just wanted to make sure that I was not doing anything wrong.

As for the cockpit, are you referring to this model, or are you referring to the scratch build Thunderfighter,
This model is 110% stock (with the exception of size. ;))
If you are referring to the Thunderfighter, I used clear plastic gift box that got a few months ago. I am going to post "how to" build thread on such soon. "WORD OF WARNING", the tecnique is labour intencive,wall1 but I think that it does make a good finished product.

I was referring to the F-302 at the top of this thread, but am certainly interested in seeing how you did the Thunderfighter cockpit canopy.

The F-302 is totaly stock. I did not use any thing else. I just printed it out on A-3 format it make it bigger and built it. (BTW, there are no instructions with this model. The only thing that I could refer to was the two photos that came with the model.

As for the Thunderfighter cockpit canopy, I am going to do a "HOW TO" thread on canopies like it. I have two techniques, both are not hard, but can be labour intence. The final product though (in my opinion) is better over all.

I'm pretty sure he was wondering why the F-302's cockpit glass is glossy while the rest of the model is matte.
