Hi everyone,

I just complete my first papermodel after one year and a half of work. I would like some coments on it. I had to modified lots of details and someones (unfortunally) I couldn't pick up on time. I know, probably everyone is sick of this model, but I thought it was a simple one to begin with.

PS: Sorry for my English (I'm Italian)

Oh,

Just because everyone has built one. Like a bf 109 or a f 16. At the end modellist like to see something different.

Are you kidding?!?! She's a beauty! A lot of people may have built Graf Spee, but not at 1/200 or as well. From what I can see you have done a really good job. Do you have any build or detail (closeup) pictures that you can post?

What the hell are you talking about?!~

That's a beautiful job! Hell, if you don't want it, there's a spot on my mantle it would look good on!

Ok, I used the arado 196 from the kit, but I rebuilt the interior (two seats and cockpit) and use trasparent plastic for the glasses (I draw the frame with a permanent marker)

Uhh,
I like it, I just thought that everyone else was bored...

These are the life boats. The ones from the kit are horrible, like all the little details. I scanned the ones from the HMV Bismark, enlarged, repainted with Gimp, and again substitute the glasses with transparent plastic. Unfortunally from the photos taken at Rio de Janerio it is clear that the life boats were painted with the same camouflage scheme of the ship. Yet they weren't clear enough for attempting a reconstruction (or better, I was already building the ship one year and I didn't want to spend to weeks trying it)

The range finders and the other instruments on the main bridge came again from the HMV Bismark, I put them according to the picture taken after the wreckage, the instrument pannels on the wall are scratchbuilt. The paravanes are scrachtbuilt using toothpick. The 37mm AA are again the Bismarck ones.
