Ice Age

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a classic!

My 3yo daughter love all characters. Manny, the mammoth, is her favorite.

With all the great freebies Claudio puts out there for us, ( Still got my Park Heroes Captain America guarding my desk. ) I have to wonder if that comment was necessary. If he needs a little help to defray the cost of maintaining a website, I don't see the problem in asking for an occasional donation.( I'll be sending a little something on Friday, Claudio. )

i totally agree, it was not necessary

i am becoming very sad with these kinds of posts, i have been a member for many years and it seems that this place is changing in ways i dont like... :curse:

Thank you, Claudio, for the lovely model.

I must ask the administrator if this is a violation of the forum rules posted in June:

http://www.zealot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166361

since Claudio's page solicits voluntary donations through paypal.

I am not criticizing Claudio. And I agree with you, I don't see the problem either. But the fact is that this forum has a corporate owner. They have laid down the rules, and they have hired an administrator to enforce them. Claudio's post is a clear violation of the stated rule. Fortunately, the enforcement of this rule is haphazard and arbitrary.

This forum is not changing in ways you don't like. It has already changed in ways you don't like. It's done, it's over, the ship has sailed.

The truth is my defense. The broken links, the dropped threads, the members who have gone silent, the incredibly low number of daily posts is a testament to the fact that a disaster hit this forum in June, and almost everyone who was aware of it has left already, many voluntarily, and many involuntarily, and have re-assembled elsewhere. The paper guys went one place, the train guys another. It was sad for me to see. The only slight satisfaction is that the owners' heavy-handed tactics have backfired.

I saw people get banned for posting links. I saw others banned for defending them. I saw Sanjay totally lose his cool in a profanity-laced post, now conveniently erased, and another in which he quoted federal code and threatened former admins with prosecution. I was banned twice, and so far as I can tell, my offense was in my private messages. I have therefore come to believe that private messages here are no longer private.

This is not a good place anymore, and the restrictions keep ratcheting up (new members required to post 15 times before PM privileges, etc.) I grant you, Maico had dropped the snarky, sneering attitude he came here with, has stopped ordering new members to use google rather than ask questions of members, and is starting to be nice to creative types who might actually donate something to the downloads, where it will be Crowdgather property in perpetuity. Because everything else has failed. He chastised people for posting unsolicited links; now he's doing it himself, acting like one of the guys, giving us the link to Clever Santoro. It's kind of funny. But the rule hasn't changed, and it's a hammer waiting to be brought down on your heads. (Also kind of funny, is to go over to Motorcyclists United, and ask some of those guys about Maico. Oh, they'll talk your ear off.)

So, if you like it here, there's no disputing with taste. But why you call me a troll, I don't quite get.

The problem here is you have some issues with site administration, but you're trying to punk other members to prove your point. It didn't even cross your mind that all Claudio is trying to do is something nice for the members and their kids. That's why you're a troll. You and StevO should hang out.

Nice work Claudio! Hey, have you checked out Jules' new Optimus. This will be a very nice match to your Bumblebee. Thanks so much for all your hard work!

Oh, for heaven's sake. You know nothing about what crosses my mind. Claudio is doing something nice for the members and their kids. I think it's a great thing. And it's clearly against the rules of this forum. You do not even try to deny that, because it's manifestly true.

And, I must admit, StevO and I do hang out together, a little. We're not best buds or anything. And we hang out with almost everyone who was on this group at the beginning of the summer, and the place we do it is

And everyone is welcome there.
