I must be dreaming !

Someone please wake me up  i'm in dreamland.... Stingray is one my all time favourites from my chilhood and still is in the present. This thread is right up my street ! is it o'k to join in with what you are doing and perhaps add some of my models later, i'm not sure how it all works "i'm NEW" so forgive my ignorance. I will keep looking in anyway, because i love everything to do with Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Keep up the great work. :thumb:

Must say i love this thread bringing back great memories of watching it on a saturday morning when i was a kid. I still have the Spectrum persuit vechile and the UFO Shadow Mobile 2 die cast models from when they first came out.
the only gerry anderson model that i have made was the eagle for space 1999 and i must say gary you're doing great work :thumb:

Hello. Your model is FANTASTIC :thumb: , all the tiny TUBES must have taken you forever... at least seemed that way ! The original models you have got will be worth something especially if you have the original boxes and in good condition. Have you had them valued ?

Gary your Designs are marvelous and bring back all the GOOD memories of my childhood :thumb:

All the best. David

no david i've not had them valued and I'm going to past them on to my son when i get in my later years. The eagle did take quite a while it has 348 tubes to make up the frame (just counted them on the plans) and I had to wrap them around a sewing needle because they were that thin. had sore fingers.

I think what you are doing about them is most admirable and i hope your son looks after them. All those tubes at that size would give me sore eyes as well as sore fingertips. Back to you.

Hi guys, slow coach here, she is finally done except for the aerial (waiting for one of the cat's whiskers to fall out:p, she sheds them like a christmas tree sheds needles:mrgreen: and i have used many before on 1/35th pla***c model tanks as whip aerials as they look great and last for ages)

Gary, do you ever sleep? you are designing dreams quicker than we can think of them. Thank you
All the best
Mick

Hello Mick. I guess you have read that i am new here and when i found this thread/forum whichever it is i was and still am gobsmacked, i truly love all of this you and the other fellows are doing here. I haven't looked at everything here yet, but the more i look the happier i become. I have seen your model and you have made a very good job of it and Gary who i think designed it did a great job there too. I hope one day to put a model on here for all of you to see. I have seen alot of FREE models and i have bought alot too, i wonder if Gary has the Fireball XL5 in his stock or would design one for everyone to be able to be off printed to be built like your Shadow he has produced. Back to you.

Hello Maico. I have seen most of if not all of Gary's free models and they are all fantastic aren't they ? I wish i could find one of Fireball XL5 but i don't think that he has done this one. Do you know of a FREE one of these ? I have bought alot of models in past and most of them are very good - lots of sheets with the parts to be cut out, and lots of instructions  most are beyond my ability, but the free ones seem to be easier to build or is it that because they are free i don't panic if things go wrong. The ones i buy {my son gets them off of ebay...something else i know little about  } but it's the having them that gives me pleasure, and maybe the hope that one day i might muster up enough courage to make them. Oh well Maico, if you know of a free one can you let me know on the forum/thread so that i can output the model to print and make it here with you and all here. Back to you.

Mr. Lake is referring to the Gerry Anderson themed models designed by Gary Pilsworth, whose member name here is "Pilsworth." Several models by this designer freely contributing may be seen here:

Hello. I don't know your name SillyWizard but thank you for helping me here. Gary {Gary Pilsworth} is a man that i'd like to shake by the hand ! when i stummbled on this Forum/thread STINGRAY-GIXERGS i thought that i had died and gone to heaven, i am so much into Gerry Anderson items and when i found this Forum/thread STINGRAY-GIXERGS i was in dreamland. The work here is marvelous and i am going to be making a model of one of the THUNDERBIRDS for you all to see. I don't know if you have seen my first new Forum/thread GERRY ANDERSON - DAVID LAKE but i am going to be placing it there for you all. I also put an item about a PETITION to be signed all to do with Gerry Anderson getting the rights to re-make Thunderbirds, if you see it please will you sign it to help me and others to get Gerry some back-up. My son helped me to get this started and i am very proud of him for doing that. Someone called Maico Shark { a member on here} who has helped me since i joined i think he has signed it too, so there's one more to help the cause. Back to you.
