I am one of those old school type designer. I find that I can draw my design faster with pen, pencil ruler and compass than using my 3D graphic tools. After I finish them in Hard copy, I then scan/transfer them to my favorite graphics program (Paint Shop Pro) and fine tune the edges and squares. I have used the paint palette on occasion but I prefer to paint them myself at the end. I use a variety of painting tools such as acrylics, markers, colored pencils and air brush.

Ok need to tweak the deck sides below the bridge a bit and also where the pylons join the main hull then on to designing the ventral surface.

I wonder if that is the same one I have as well. It looks really good, but very different from the movie model. If you search the web, there are two different resin models out there of the Valdore, and one is a bit more accurate than the other, but they are both vastly different than the 3D version I got from one of the 3D computer modelling sites. I'll try to post pictures of the resin models and the parts as they are laid out. I was trying to design the Valdore from looking at the parts layouts from these two models, but I have been very very busy with my regular job to be able to get much done on it. I was just about to clean up the main fuselage section.
