Ok I've started on Clever's Enterprise-B scaled down to 1:1700. This thread will be ongoing as I work on it.

Here's the bridge deck area

Good God man - you're an animal! The builds never cease down in Sunny FL, eh? sign1

Looking good. I'm excited to watch this build progress - I'll be trying this build at some point myself, and it'll be good to see what I'm up against, especially at this scale.

What weight card are you using there? It looks like plain copy paper.

eek

ok Im pretty much lost on the secondary hull of this thing wall1.
maybe I should set it aside until Cmags does his then follow HIS build thread sign1. I'll see what I can figure out but I might be in a little over my head here.

Any particular parts you're stuck on? I've usually got a decent eye for how parts fold, maybe I can figure 'em out by looking at my kit. It'll be a while before I get to Ent-B - its not very high on my favorites list and I'll have Paragon's USS Hood to work on in a few hours. I'm more of a one-iron-in-the-fire guy, unlike you. ;)

I Think Ive got it mostly figured out now (I hope) and like you I'll have to set this aside in a few hours for the hood. Im making headway though. as for the multiple irons in the fire here are the models I currently have in various stages of completion. The ent-b of course, zousho's sabre class, and a curtiss r3-c2 racing biplane.

Heh, might not be a good idea to post this where I can see it; now I feel like building her too (though at a slightly smaller scale). Don't worry, I'll hold off on it until I've released the finished Hood, Farragut and Kelvin update. I might decide to make the Intrepid-type from Ent too.

excellent paragon! you know what Id like to see from ENT? The romulan bird of prey and klingon D5. Im actually going to try to do a model of the BoP but its probably going to be the old fashioned way since Im clueless about 3d modeling sign1. If it works out I'll post and U/L it.

I just remembered there were multiple angle pics of the 3d model up on clever's site. with those for reference things are clipping along much better now.
the secondary hull is beginning (just beginning) to take shape.

That is some mighty impressive building there, my friend! I swear it looks like the full-size build; I keep having to remind myself that it's only (I'm guessing) 12" or so.

That small structure on the back end is the aft torpedo launcher, btw.
