Thanks Gary,

The Stingray is FABulous but I didn't know you were responsible for Destiny's aircraft. That was an equally brilliant model.

I would have been in heaven if your models were avilable in 1969. (5 or now 45, it doesn't matter):wave::wave::wave::wave:

The terror fish should make for some great dioramas. Thanks very much for making your models available.

What a BUZZ

This thread is really doing us all good Phil, and thanks for putting it here - Not just for your model {which is cool} but for all the interest you have rekindled. All us so called GROWN-UPS never ever do really grow-up at all {well not the male variety} and thank god for that, because if we did the world would forget everything we are so eager to remember and with such PRIDE. I am so pleased Gary put the TSR2 there for you my mate, i have it also and i am sure you will be making that one for us pretty soon when Stingray is afloat. Keep plodding on whilst i go and put some more AFTER-SUN cream on.. oh oh oh sign1 Your old mate Pete. Hear from you soon Phil on the talking bone.

THANK YOU GARY FOR MAKING MY MATE AND MANY MORE OF US HERE VERY VERY VERY HAPPY... KEEP IT UP MATE "PLEASE" OUR HOBBY NEEDS "YOU FORVEVER..":thumb:

Quote " whilst i go and put some more AFTER-SUN cream" From the video of your holiday a small price to pay and from those of us that will never get to go there much deserved serves you right! sign1
Mr Anderson was always treated as a sort of pretend programme maker working with puppets:curse: but how many programme makers today are producing programmes that will be remember so fondly over 45 years later:killer: in the case of Fireball XL5 and few programme makers could produce so many starting early on with Twizzle, Torchy the Battery Boy, Four Feather Falls, Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray,Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Joe 90 well you get the idea.He crossed over to live action slowly at first with The Secret Service then all out live action with UFO and Space 1999 all with at least one iconic vehicle. He even crossed into CGI with the much underrated New Captain Scarlet, So Ladies and Gentlemen a Toast to the maker of childhoods across the globe GERRY ANDERSON!aussie and of course a huge round of applause for Garry for keeping the dreams alive.

I totally agree with what Phil has to say, Gerry Anderson's shows are what most of us 40 something big kids grew up with and watched religously. Thanks to our bestest mate Gary:thumb:, we are keeping our youth alive and kickingsign1. My new printer is going to be working overtime with the Anderson models I have downloaded. I have noticed however I seem to be missing Thunderbird 5. I have found some that some of you may not have seen yet

Thanks for the links Mick. I have not come across a Thunderbird 5 either which is kind of ironic as it was the only Thunderbird that I did not have as a child. I forgot to point out earlier that not only are we remembering fondly these programmes years later but kids will be remembering them fondly in years to come. The great Tracy Island drought years ago in the UK when Thunderbirds was repeated and sales of the Mattel Tracy Island were greater than the supply. Blue Peter came to the rescue with its build your own version, much I dare say to Mattel's annoyance.Just how many generations Thunderbirds will survive for I can not guess although the one thing for sure is the original will be around a lot longer than the live action film that was perpetrated.

Looks great. Do you have the file for the Stone Trek USS Magnetize in the background of the pictures? I've lost mine and can't find it online.

Thanks

Terror Fish Model

Exciting stuff, Gary,

I still remember the 'Creature from The Black Lagoon' fish-humnoid types that steered this sub . . .

Very good that you are making it to the same scale as the STINGRAY. I have cut out all the parts and begun shaping them now.

Keep up the good work!

I second that Bengt :thumb: it will be nice to have the T F in scale with the Stingray model. This guy certainly knows his work inside out.. hats off to Gary. By the way Gary, i'm interested in what prog you use to turn out these wonderful models ? i used to use CAD way back when.... Windows wasn't even out then so you can imagine how long ago it was  The manual to the prog was 6 massive volumes with thousands of pages in each one yet only a few large format floppy disks. It was a very hard prog to work out how to use and would take many days to get even close to what you have achieved in such a short time. Keep up the great work friend. Regards Pete.
