I got distracted from planes again with Star Trek. I've been trying to find more canon starfleet ships to build, but I've built almost all of the ones available. Then I finally remembered one that didn't have a model yet, did some research for images, and designed the Executive shuttle from Star Trek I.

With that done, it was an easy next step to throw on some nacelles, redo the top, and give it some different graphics for the Sydney-class USS Jenolan.

With that done, I realized I had finally designed a model of the last canon TMP-era Federation Starship to be represented in paper. I know it didn't show up until TNG, but like the Constellation class, she would have been a new ship around the time 1701-A was going out.

Here they all are:

And here they are, with a few of the other non-canon TMP era starships I've built.

Very Nice!

Also, my build of ST XI Enterprise and Kelvin have a new home at school. I donated them to my 11th grade English teacher, who is a major Star Trek fan.

Okay! Now you've done it!

You went and designed one of my "gonna" ships and did beyond what I'd ever hoped! Kuddo's, exponentially!

I've always felt a serious deficit in paper model Trek shuttles, and you've broken the stalemate! Now the other excellent ST movie shuttles await the pulp pressing to life!

We do have a STTMP Vulcan shuttle [though not the Starfleet version yet] and 2 versions are available on the net:

and a few Nxt Gen shuttles out there, & there's the old style series shuttle:

along with Ninjatoes type 10!

But now you are opening the door for the STTMP shuttle, the STIII Spacedock shuttle, and the ST V standard shuttle. You've dropped the gauntlet...who'll rise to your challenge?

By the way, this is an excellent choice also for its visibility. Not only was the smaller version seen in STVI, but the Sydney class appeared in Nxt Gen and DS9, making it an excellent ship to fans of any of all of the shows! Great call!

Also, my compliments for making both versions! Nice bit of thoroughness.

Okay, time to stop singing my appreciation and get some downloading done!:car1:

Ok, just to let you all know, release will definitely be sometime this week, but the executive shuttle and Jenolan will not be alone. I want to release all of the models I've finished up at the same time, so you all have a reasonable bit more to look forward to!

Oh, the Jenolan will be in 1:1000 scale and 1:1900 scale, and the Executive shuttle will be in 1:150 scale (in scale with Martin Saenger's Areoshuttle and my Argo) and another smaller scale. I've also gone back and made resized versions of a few other auxilliary craft (Type 9, Federation Scout, Type 11) in 1:150 scale as well, to fit with the Argo and executive shuttle.

I would say, "I hope everything comes out all right", but...

Hope you get to feeling better.
