Each launchbay has an observation booth. In Episode 4.3 we see all this when Tori blows Cally out the launch bay into space.

The observation booth was placed after every second launch so the control officer controled two tubes at a time. Check out the photo on page 2. You will need to look closely.

In the Classic Galactica, they had an observation control room looking into the Tubes. "See pic". This area is not represented in the re-imagined series. If they had a window, it would probably fit into the center V section and have a view of two tubes. Just an idea!!!!!

I am taking a break from The series and I am doing some Warhammer Flyers. I don't know if I will post it here or in the games forum. I am almost finished with the W40K Lightning and will do the Warhammer Thunderbolt next.

I can't wait to see you build finished:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

I just found my next project.

Open for Suggestions

I'm toying with the idea of putting in a launch control window on either side of the bay's. i really like the idea, but don't have any clue as to what the inside really would look like. Silver I started on your viper yesterday, I like the way it's coming along.

Hello Again

Sorry guys it took so long to get back. Started work on the hanger bay once more. Will have pictures of some progress on friday.

"Husker requesting permission for hands on approach"

about the launch tube windows, i think it can be opened and closed, because many times i saw two mk2s being seen through a reverse triangle window.

i think it was in the miniseries?

This kind of reminds me when I joined the military and after a three year our of duty, when I got home........ "Hey MOM! where are my collections?" My mother gave away a whole bunch of #1 comics from the 5 cents and ten cents each era. Plus a squad of original G.I. Joes from the 60's. First issues of Creepie and EErie #1 through 20. The Spirit and art work from Gil Kane. As you said..... what can you do.

I too have lost units that way, to the 2 year old, the 1 year old, the puppy . . .

and the most often heard conversation in my house:

"Mom where's my (insert appropriate noun)? I just left it here five minutes ago."

"I put it away."

"Where did you put it?"

"I can't remember."

My pet peeve is now ANYONE touching my stuff. Not that I'm afraid they'll break it, but that they'll MOVE it.

She was a great ship once!
I hope you can rebuild her again.

And like RodentMaster it says
"A moment of silence for our fallen brothers."

So say we all!

Rebuild

Thanks for the supports guys, you pull yourself by the boot straps and keep ruckin'. Shin I've went back to the drawing board to add the launch control center and the window to view the vipers in the tube. I've started rebuild on the vipers and raptors(going bigger this time). Does any have a layout of the launch control room, no luck in finding one.

Looking for a MK1 cockpit

Does any know where to find a MK1 cockpit, and are there other vipers out there to be aquired and built? Silver, lover the tumbler:thumb:. Second build going better than the first one on the hanger bays. I will post the pictures as soon as I have the time to do so:cool:. Almost finished with a Bell 222 helicopter I pick up of a japanese site for free last year on this sight. Niiiiiiccceee kit, very open to ceative scratch building. Doing my in USAF gray.

Thanks for the comment on the Tumbler. It was my introduction to extreme paper folding. If I ever re-do it, it will come out better.

Here are some pics that I hope will help you out.

Thanks Silver, this will be a big help for my next project, I will be in your neck of woods next month for some training.

If you are retired and coming this way, it must be a contract work. When you get in town make a comment on the forum and we can set a meet if you have the time available.
