It's nice, though a little too boxy at the back and in the pods compared to the smooth curved "head". I do like it though.

Mmmmmmmm

Has anyone thought about designing the Battlestar McQuarrie perchance? It's not a bad design, methinks.

I could be talked into that. Gearz was kind enough to provide me the mesh he used for his TOS Galactica model. I was thinking of doing a more detailed version in the future, but it may also allow a reasonably quick conversion. There are some good shots on the site you linked to for reference.
I'll add it to my someday list (and hope someone else gets it done first).

Hello All,

New to the forums and also to Paper Modelling. Was pointed this way by the ever usefull Google for BSG models and when i saw what you guys are doing here i was absolutely amazed. I reading and catching up on the build of the Fleet Ships i was getting anxious for the 3 foot Galactica. But to my suprise i recieved a 404 error when attempting to download it. Has it moved? or Is it unavailable?

Any feedback would be greatly appriciated.

Cheers
James

Try going to the top of this page, and clicking on Downloads (to the left of new posts). Look for the category Movies, TV shows. Click on Battlestar Galactica and you'll see all the BSG models including the 3 footer. Download from there.

Just checked it and it works fine. Let us know if you have any problems. Be sure and post build pictures when you make it. Please?

Thanks Elliott. Greatly appriciated. I will try and remember to take pics as i build. I have a nasty habit of getting into a groove and forget stuff like that....till it's too late.

Patch for 3 foot GAL

Greetings everyone.

It was pointed out to me that former fb1 in the 3 foot galactica did not have the reference lines to show where you place the other formers.

I have uploaded a patch to the downloads section (get it here).

I still have several other patches to get done as well. I will be working on those in the next week or so. One of my main customers is on a six week shutdown so I've got some spare time on my hands. Not that I have enough spare time mind you sign1.

I have uploaded additional patches to the download section. As soon as they are approved they should be available for download.
There are now two patches for each version of the Galactica (3ft and 1.5ft).

Patch 1 is an updated former for the lower bridge section that includes reference lines for placing the other formers.

Patch 2 contains updated landing bay arms, correcting some mis-aligned textures on those pieces.

I'm know working on a re-release of the Gemini Transport. A couple people reported problems fitting the nose area.

More soon,

Steve
