I can't seem to get Jaybats MK II to download, it keeps telling the server is down and to try back in ten minutes. Anyone else have it to share?

Thanks!

use a different browser and disable any download managers you have like download acelerators.

I thought that since he says that the files are to be given freely out that he would not mind if others shared. With that in mind it would be faster to go through the forums.

If this is a breach in protocol let me know since I am new to the hobby here and do not want to step on anyone's toes.

Viper and hanger deck

Putting the final touches on my viper and starting on the hanger. Silver, I'm drawing out the plans on how I contructed the landing and recessed the nacelles, exhaust nozzles, and upper engine deck to share with everyone. Looks like I'm going to be busy for awhile. Oh, by the way this is my first build and thanks all to you I am greatfully hooked.:thumb: finishing the MK VII body tonight also.

Adama

PS. Does anyone know where I can find a DC-8 passenger jet?????

ok great!!

just tell us how you are going to simulate the fuselage creases/clefts running near the cockpit halfway to the nose.

See your point, guess I will have to photo document another build in more detail for a clearer understanding on what I've done. Thinking about it, I still will do drawing and photo's both. Remember 1st time fella's, so may take a couple days.

For your first build, you have done a great job, young Padawan. At this rate, a master soon you will be. While I am more of a Science Fiction Fan, I also enjoy other areas of this hobby, such as Aviation, Land vehicles, Naval, figures and buildings. The possibilities are enormous. I recommend that you take a look at some of the other forums and check out Patero, Mauther, Nothing and a slew of others too many to mention here. There are many modelers out there that humble me and give me the ambition to do better Welcome to the Paper modelers family and may you be cursed to see many wonders in the following years.

+Most humble thanks master jedi, you are wise and I hope to learn much. I'm a big Scifi fan myself, you name UFO, Space 1999, New and old BSG, All the Star Treks, 2001 and 2010, Star Wars, War of the Worlds, and many more.

Silver's Viper

WOW:eek:!!!!! Great build, can't wait to get my hands on one. Some of those technics I applied to the viper I built. I will use that intake nozzle tip for the other MK II build this weekend alog with the hanger deck. Give more of fighter look to it I think. Sleep is for the weak and the dead. Shin just started on those drawing tonite. Silvers build has alot of the same methods. May want to check it out.:thumb:

Quick question : I have Paragon's no line version of Jaybats' Viper Mk II fuselage, engine assembly and horizontal stabilzer, but I was wondering, is there a no line version of the rest of the kit out there somewhere as well ? Please let me know.

Actually that is it but you can print it and then scan it and use your paint, photo shop, paint shop or any other paint program and delete the lines yourself. The only drawback is that you have to paint over the areas that you removed the lines from. In my case I use paint shop (pain-Shop) as my art program and use the airbrush with a low viscosity to cover the lines with. Use the dropper for the light grey and then shade it with a darker grey or black. Good luck and hope to see your work soon.

Thanks Silveroxide. I can actually extract the picture from the PDF on my office computer, so I won't lose anything in the translation. I don't have a copy of Jaybats' original on that computer, and it seems as though savefile's server is down. After reading the thread, it seems as though it's been down for a while. Guess I'll have to wait 'til next week to get started...

Are we there yet????? Are we ther yet???

One thing about paper modeling, YOU LEARN PATIENCE. Here are some more builds, working myself up the the hardest part, the landing gear and canopy.
You have to be careful with Super glue, it will mar your project in a heartbeat and it is hard to recover from it.
