I felt like this belonged more under fantasy than gaming so here i am. I'm Using A model I found in the Google warehouse. It's an awesome piece of work, but not nearly ready for pep. I'll start posting pics when I get to piecing it back together.

Wow, that is insanely detailed. Toned down a bit, it's going to make an awesome model, though. Will you be posting the pattern once you're done?

wccrawford. I would never start a thread here without the intention of releasing a model. I have a few projects that have resulted in unfinished threads here so I already owe you all something by now, lol. I'm on a time limit now so it's crunch month for everything. Anyways, prepare for my attempt at this beautiful pistol.

I'm finished with most of the clean up. I got rid of most of the compound curves but tried to keep as many of the bevels as i could. Without them it would look really blocky and unattractive. I just need to insert the barrel and attach the grip, then I can move into pep.

The modeling is done, now on to the unfold. I use sketchup so I will have to manually apply textures as usual, ugh. Anyway thats the update for today.

I don't see any redundant posts and I love what you have done so far! Maybe I should breakdown and try to learn how to use some of these programs and try designing something!

Looks like fun

Lookin good so far Sebret. It is a very attractive pistol. I've got several in my to-build queue, and it looks like I'll be adding another.

Regards,

SJ

I'm with you there. I tried to use sketchup and pepakura to make what I thought was a very simple sword and things did not go well at all.

I'm absolutely amazed when I see things like in this thread done with them.

I understand the separation. We were unable to afford the 'net for a year or two. . . . and I went to school to be a web designer. It was like losing my third arm, being locked in a sensory deprivation chamber, and banned from the library all at the same time.
