Quiet, but not Idle. A couple small ships...

I know, I have been quiet, but I am continuing to build more JSC small ships. Here is a completed HMS Dragon, HMS Garland and my current project, the Bolzano.

After my 1:200 Hood nosedived off of the bookshelf, I am thinking about starting another 1:200. I might start a Battleship next year. I have a couple months to spend after I retire from the USAF....

Nice work Ski. You've been holding out on us. Where are the construction reports???

I hate to hear that about your Hood. Such a shame. You did such a great job on her. Maybe the next 1/200 scale job you do, you can tackle a USN subject???

Thanks. I could go small and do the 1:200 Fletcher DD....

A couple more building shots of the Bolzano. A very interesting ship with the built-in funnel. I can never get tired of building these small ships. Very rewarding stuff. Mind the edging, hehehehe..... ;)

Continuing work on the Bolzano. Believe it or not, this is the first ship that I had to build up multiple superstructure levels solely on the mast. It sure can get difficult!

You're doing a splendid job Ski. Nice. I love the dazzle cammo on those Italian capital ships. Really looks great.

Have fun!

Thanks for you comments! I don't believe that there is a Nimitz out there. Maybe some of the other members on the board have a better idea.

Yes, Loretta, there is a Nimitz out there.....believe Wilhelmshaven puts it out in 1:250 scale. However, it is very pricy. Even on Ebay I haven't seen it go for much less than $100.

Here is my next project, the 1:200 scale USS Luetze. I don't know what you guys think about painting the hull, but I find it necessary to hide the blemishes and the marks from trying to glue on the strakes. wall1

The Leutze will be a really good start in mapping out the requirements for my wood 1:97 scale Fletcher class model I bought on E-Bay about 8 years ago. I want to do it right, although it won't be quite at the same level as some well known modelers here. I just want it to be clean.
