It's not rocket surgery
You will not be able to see the back unless that information is in the databse. And pictures of private property from viewpoints that aren't public are not usually well received...

Is there a commuter line or Amtrak train you can ride past these buildings? ;) :D

hmmm i cant seem to be able to do that, i can only view a view from the streets looking left or right. I wish it would allow you to down railroad tracks too  lol

Mine does. There is a dial in the upper right corner with four arrows that rotates the camera view front to back, left to right and so forth. By pulling back a little and using the "hand" to move the map, I follow railroad tracks all the time.

LOL

I dont think there is a Amtrak that runs near it, otherwise, i would take the train down there LOL. I think im just going to bite the bullet and take the long trip down there and snap some pics for myself. Ill be able to get the rest of the company building names i need, do some railfanning, plus get some good shots of details and layouts of the buildings, scenery, and tracks.... All of which will be useful in the article(s) i hope to publish in MR

hmmmm thanks for that MM, ill have to try it out when i come back home, im on my way out the door right now lol

I did notice that there were 2 different "versions" of Google's "Street View" when i was browseing, i got one version one time when i opened it and a different one the next time i opened it, the one i did the second time looked like it had more features and such, so thanks for the tip, ill have to go back and try it again

Does this help

Did a Google search for Beard Industrial Park

http://www.metrr.com/map.pdf
Map of the industrial park
-- Tried to find a 'key' to the map but apparently there isn't one..

Back up a link and you get this
http://www.metrr.com/

Go forward from that link and you get this "jackpot"
http://www.beardland.com/

Click on Industries on their menu and you get a listing of all business's in their park in a alphabetical listing.. Those serviced by rail are indicated..

-- M&ET have an ' * ' beside them.
-- UP have a ' ** ' beside them
-- there is a photo gallery of some of the business's but perhaps not to helpful.

From there you can look up the business by name and find it's location.. but you only have to look up the ones serviced by the M&ET as listed in their website..

You could try contacting them 'ask for photos' or better map but they might be reluctant due to security reasons. Best bet though for photos of the business's is once you find the ones you want to model? Look up the business online.. Most company websites have photos of there operations or atleast photo's of the business exterior.

-- Signage and building shape plus paint scheme parking areas and the like.

Sometimes the straight line is the fastest .:thumb:. Truly I've done it so many times myself.. You have so many resources online that I pass right over one of the easiest ones..

Hope that helps..

Thanks Ronson for the links. I have already discovered the list of industries the M&ET serves from M&ET's website (they have the same list on there site lol, as well as the same maps)

But i never thought of looking up the business names. Hopefully on there site would be an address where i could look it up in Google Maps.... It would just be a process of elimination lol
