Hi Zachary, you might try contacting KATO and see if they will replace the missing parts. If not, you could prolly order them from KATO, im sure it will be less then $5 for those parts... :thumb:

I had a similar problem with an Athearn F59PHI. I had bought it at a show. After a couple of goof paint jobs, numerous strippings and repaints, and after a couple of years, I finally got to assembling it when I found out that the pilot was missing(How did I miss it).
I sent Athearn an email about the missing pilot, even offered to pay for it. They sent me one free of charge!
So, if Kato is anything like Athearn (and I haven't heard anything bad about thier customer service), you shouldn't have a problem.

Oh, Yeah...Kudos to Athearn!

like 88, Ive also had a pleasant experience with Athearn as well. You guys might have seen in my engine roster thread or read about them in other threads ive started, i have 6 Athearn RTR SD50/SD60's, SD70M's, and SD70MAC that i had bought on ebay that were all RTR a few months back. They DID NOT come with handrails. I e-mailed them the other day and they told me they were $6.98 a set and they could get me the ones i needed. Then i get another e-mail and they said they would send me the replacement handrails free of charge :thumb:

Upon looking at my 1st UP SD90/43MAC, ive noticed that the horn, one of the end handrails, and some grabs on the rear of then engine are missing, im going to e-mail KATO and see if i can get some replacements, again, prolly wont be more then $5.00 for the parts  and who knows, they might just send them to me  Ive heard alot of good things about the big MFR's in the hobby industry and so far ive never had a problem with any of them (Walthers, Athearn, and KATO included)

Zachary i suggest you do the same and drop KATO an e-mail as well and explain your situation :thumb:

thanks guys for the help ill shoot them an email sometime today and ill post some pics maybe when i get done those grab irons are hard to put on

Zachary, i tried to contact KATO yesterday and was unable to find an e-mail. On there web site, it says you have to call them as they get to much fan mail and other mail that they are unable to reply to everything....

And for the grabs, I mentioned in my thread about the KATO grab irons, that with the engine should have come a small pin type tool that you can put in the wholes for the grabs, railings..... so that it opens them up just enough so that the grabs will fit in easyer, still without gluing them in..... If it did not come with a small pin type tool, see if you can find a safetly pin or something or use the tip of a sharp hobby knife to open them up slightly :thumb:
