in theory is simple but in reality a very hard technique to master. works a lot like a paint program. building up layers. a detailed descripton i agree would be very interesting and helpfull!!

I'll give it some thought, though it may come down to simple experience with painting. I do have 20 odd years as a proffesional Model maker and prop maker under my belt...
I've painted with an airbrush for 28 years on everything from t-shirts, cars, models, wall murals, and toys. Maybe I could try it from reference photos. I've also been doing this kind of stuff in Photoshop for 20 years if anyone needs any help building textures. I really do love both Nothings model and its textures and Mousemuffins build and paint job. Both of you have done an amazing job.
