The caboose is empty. I must be the only person not working today. Got my boxes ready for the Sunday train show and read a little more CTT. Sunny but still chilly. waiting for the promised 60s....TTFN...S.J.

CSX - I don't see pics? Do I have to join or something?

Yeah, Chewy is good little dog, hope she gets over this soon.

Had a bomb threat at work so me and about 500 other government employees got to stand around outside for 1.5 hours while they searched the building. I heard they know who made the call - I think terrorist threats are treated pretty seriously nowadays. Glad there was no bomb!

Yeah, CTT is shorting out or something? Went to dentist today - no cavities (except the one between my ears). That's hilarious - satellite reciever, lol! Hey, they left my new locomotive on the porch - I guess on Tuesday? Found it this morning. No bell, no knock... :( It's fine though. I'm letting it warm up. Need to get some track from a bin in the basement for a Halloween layout before I can uncover my "good" layout and test my tmcc toy! Man - it's got great detail and it's heavy! Can't wait!

Jim, You got to learn to check that porch every day. They do the same thing here. One reason I prefer UPS or USPS. Our UPS guy has been on this route almost forever, he lets our stuff at the office on days my wife works and delivers to the house on Fridays when she is off. Our mail-girl is the best and brings the packages into the house (will put them on the porch if we are not home) The only problems we have with mail is when a sub is on.

Forgot to mention that I got Trains, Classic Trains & Model Railroader magazines all in todays mail. Looks like a lot of interesting reading.

Found them - that's weird that you have to put them in the comments? Looking good. I have no idea about that loco - any marks on the bottom? I would send the pics to John (jefelectric) and see if he or the other tinplate guys can place it for you!

Several small halogen floodlights were assembled and tested before being added to the stations equipment. All the generators and what seemed like miles of electrical cords were checked and all the pumps were checked for leaks. All in all a busy evening.

GOOD EVENING ALL, caught that part about a new start, hope I can find it although I did ok last time. No trains running today, the wife had a small redo project that turned into a good part of the day. Seems the easy projects take just as long as the tough ones. enjoy the weekend....S.J.

Good evening guys,

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. Weather here is to be very nice, as was today.:thumb:

Tomorrow I will be helping the "Train Guys" set up the display layout at the town library. Should be interesting as this is my first time helping with this project.

Still need to winterize the pond and sink the plants, maybe tomorrow afternoon or Sunday afternoon. Most of the flowers are still blooming, although we have had several frosty nights.

Chief, if you want to pick up walnuts, stop by any time - tons of them back there. I need to get a big bucket and let some set up for stain one of these days. I'm not sure what you use to thin it out with, some kind of oil I guess? Old timers used kerosene to stain wood.

John - sorry, saw your post about checking the porch but forgot to thank you for the advice. I think they should knock or ring the bell. It's getting dark pretty early here now - time change tomorrow though. Days are getting shorter again.

Nice pic, Jeffrey - always like that little scene on your layout.

Picked up a big history of trains in North America at a book fair today and also a copy of Nuts and Volts as I'm trying to learn electronics at least at a very basic level.
