Josh...Thanks! You may have gotten too much glue here and there in the beginning, But I'm proclaiming you "THE KING OF PLASTIC KITS" TM
You have put together sooooo many in the last couple of years....and each one better than the last!:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:
Keep up the excellent work!!!!

hehehehhe thanks so much Steve :mrgreen: :mrgreen: Building kits has become one of my favorite parts of Model Railroading

HOLY COW, The Mine looks AMAZING!!!! Love the paint, weathering, and especially that pipe that you added in, its stuff like that that gives the building that extra added detail to make it look that much more realistic. FANTASTIC Job Steve!!

Great salvage job on the mine, Steve. :thumb::thumb: The lighting in that last picture really shows it to good advantage, and I can picture it amongst tree-covered hills, with tracks under the loading chutes. The weathering looks just right to me - not too clean, but not run-down looking, either.

Mike...Thank you!...I think we have all probably seen this Mine on too many layouts :winker:, so I think at least a few new details help to make it look a little different. Good luck on your kit....announce1post pics!

Ralph...I am starting to get a little more comfortable doing weathering, although when I see some other's work, I realize that I still have a long way to go! :winker: But that is the fun of this hobby....trying new things and getting better at the old ones. Unfortunately, this Mine won't be making it on to my new layout :eek:ops:....no room for it :cry:.

Josh...Thank you buddy! High praise coming from you :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Gus....

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::twisted: Thanks Gus!:thumb:

Wayne...Thank you for your gracious words!:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb: It can be easy to know what to do, but sometimes hard to know when to stop :winker:

Just to finish off this thread, I will post these two before and after pics:

WOW hard to believe that that is the even the same building, EXCELLENT job!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Steve,

great congratulation to this fine rebuilt.

Seeing first pictures I was sure, that you shoul build a new plant. But now after finishing - full compliments. And like Wayne said, a very good mixture of a working plant with a well aged finish.
If you have set this great industry on a layout let see us your next pictures.
Congratulations again!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Steve!:mrgreen: , SLAP OUTSTANDING JOB!:thumb::thumb:

The weathering looks very believable, the walkway, pipe and wood over the window were ALL very nice touches too:thumb::mrgreen: . You took a model that needed help, and really turned it into a FANTASTIC piece that ANYONE would be proud to have on their layout:winki: .

GREAT JOB STEVE, GREAT JOB!:bravo:

Now i am ready to see that NEW layout get started:mrgreen::mrgreen: .

Thank you Stephen :thumb::thumb::thumb:
I think however, that I will leave the video tutorials to you!:winker:

I see that I am not the only one to dismantle their layout. It is sad, but that will be forgotten when your new one goes up. :thumb:

BTW....I think you did a great job on the song :winker::thumb::thumb::thumb:
