Good morning folks

It was 57 F when I hit the road. It will be 77 F today. The trip into work was better this morning and it took me my normal half an hour to get to the office. Apparently all the fun and delays were happening on Schuylkill Expressway this morning.

My daughter’s volleyball got smoked yesterday. They lost 25-22 and 25-12. The first game was not that close. It would have been much worse if it had not been for one girl who got in a grove and scored 10 points off her serve. I personally think they need this wake up call since they seemed to be getting a little too complacent. This was a non-league game so it was a good one to have a bad day.

Not much else happened last night.

We have an insane weekend. Tomorrow is more Cub Scout Popcorn Show and Sells. We actually have three locations. We started out with two but the church we meet at gave us a space at their White Elephant Sale. It will be a long day. Then the kids want to go a local school carnival in the evening. Sunday there is another Show and Sell but my son is not signed up for it so all I have to do is deliver and pick-up popcorn.

Modeling, what’s that?:eek::p:grin:

I hope everybody has a good day.

GOOD evening, a great day in lower Mich. sunny and warm. Got the grass cut,it was higher than it looked but its down now. I was going through some 1981 MRs and was supprised at how high Lionel steam engine prices were then. I was thinking about selling some but now I doubt I could get my money back with all the product out there today. So I will just keep them. Enjoy the weekend...S.J.

Chief would like this one - watching The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. One of the scenes shows two riverboat gamblers. One guy loses everything, including the deed to the plantation. He wants one more hand and offers his fiance's hand (basically). Mitty says, "....and if you lose?" "Why I... I'll go nawth..." Gasps! LOL!

Good morning.

It's 61 and clear. It will become partly cloudy later as the high rises to the mid 80's.

Yesterday I installed a DZ125 decoder in my new Athearn BNSF SD40. The rear light is brighter so I set it to run long hood forward, partly because of the light but mostly because I like to see them run that way. The rear light is set to stay steady while the cab light becomes a double pulse strobe light while the loco is traveling short hood forward. I also put a DZ125 in my GP35/S6, no light options on that one.

Had a good morning - Went to a church's White Elephant sale, only thing I bought was popcorn from TomPm's scout troop - he was at one of the "other 2 locations"...

Then - while checking on one of my railroad history geocaches, a few railroad historians drove up.. come to find out that one of them worked for the PRR at the Wawa tower.

They were sightseeing the end of the railroad and that's the part I know most about. Really a fun thing!!! We discussed the history of a fallen flag and reminisced about what was there before and how everything has changed in the area...

Pictures later!!!!

Good progress Jeffrey!

Boyscout popcorn is the best, but our local troop and the cubbies too have switched to some other brand that is not as good :(

Email is malfunctioning again and it's the same online, so it must be my provider. Oh well - maybe I'll get something done today? Worked this morning and just taking it easy now.

Man, I'm fighting a really nasty virus right now. It's effecting my concentration and my vision. I'm feeling better now but I'm keeping the makers of DayQuil in business.

Just changed out my keyboard a little while ago. My computer was locking up for seemingly no reason, sometimes the mouse would work and sometimes it wouldn't. I restarted the computer several times and the problems would keep popping up. Throughout all this the keyboard was acting erratically. I hooked up my old keyboard that I bought years ago (made by a company called A-Open), restarted the computer and all the problems disappeared. I looked through my records and found the warranty info on the new keyboard. It died just two days AFTER the warranty expired! FANCY THAT! I won't be buying any more keyboards from CMI.
