Well this has been my project for the week, I took my LRV and a sounder f59 and Mooreway and I airbrushed them. What do you think of our first airbrushed engines?

Here is what they looked like:

We know they don't match the prototype, but they are close enough to keep me happy, for now :)

They look good to me, jesso, and you're certainly accomplishing more than I have been lately.;):-D

Here's a couple of Grand Valley SW1200RS diesels on the Highline, in Dunnville:

Im currently working on 3 Walthers Cornerstone Refinery Kits i got on e-bay, one of them being the deluxe edition and the other 2 the regular refinery's. Kitbashing them together is proving to be no easy task and having to do everything 3 times over is kindof annoying   but its going to look awesome when i finish i think

This is a new addition to my collection. A BNSF SD40. I just finished installing a decoder. The lights are set for steady forward and double pulse strobe in reverse.

Charlie, Mooreway found some masking tape that had different widths, he had several different sizes. I will ask him where he got them.

Wayne, Do you still have those Sw 1200's? I thought you had gone to all steam. They look great. That is a great pose.

Thanks, Charlie. Some of the diesels are gone, but I still have 9 left that need new homes. I may put them in the Buy & Sell Forum when I get back from vacation, or I may just take them to the LHS. At least most of the '50s/'60s freight cars are gone, although I did keep quite a few that I plan to repaint and then letter with older-style lettering. Including some replacements for stuff sold, probably about 80 cars to do or re-do, plus a dozen or so locomotives at some phase of re-building. I'll be glad to get them done, then get back to work on the layout. ;):-D

This coaling station is being made over into a heavily weathered structure. It will have a partially collapsed wall and pieces of the heavily rusted roof gone. The rest of the roof will appear as if ready to cave in at the slightest touch. Work on it is going slowly. I have close to six projects in front of me at this time.

I took a little look back over what I've done in model railroading. I have no pictures of my first layout, but there's three of my second and two of my old SEC Rwy. one.
OK, so here's the only three pictures I have of my layout w/ atlas code 80 track. I mgiht have some more somewhere, but here they are for now:
The yard. That is my atlas GP9 on the turntable, had it painted in the Aiken-Latta railway scheme.

Looking out over all the screwed-up facing point switched industrial area (I didn't know anything about facing and trailing point. hadn't even read an issue of model railroader back then (thank you to it by the way, and ya'll, for teaching me so much)
IMG_1263.jpg

And finally the back end of the yard. I solved my problem of facing point sidings w/ a backdown track from the turntable to that first track.

And here's a few of the SEC rwy., just for laughs:

here's the sEC railway's album on my photobucket:

there's also my small little loop layout I built during the summer in there. lasted about a week.
And here's the album for my current layout:

Also, I'll hopefully be getting a package w/ a bunch of figures today, so I might have some more pics later.

Remember...it's for fun!
I need to take some more photos but here is one I took of a Kings Port & Western covered hopper with the original lettering scheme. I'm still undecided about whether to letter any other cars this way or to go with a more recent scheme I'm working on with an outline of the state of NY as part of it.

Ralph, yours quickly becoming one of my favorite layouts seen on this forum :) It's really got a "working railroad" feel to it. Well done.

Ralph....
I agree with Kevin, your layout has that real railroad look that you don't find all that often.......Great work! :thumb::thumb::thumb:

Wow! The quality of work on this thread is always improving!

For me? I've been ballasting away on my new D&M layout.
