L-5 ambulance version available in 1/48

For those of you having trouble with "fiddly" bits, this first release is in 1/48 scale.

Check www.lbirds.com/store.htm for the kit.

It is in the markings of a USAAF bird in the Philippines.

$6.50 may seem a bit high, but Roman and I've put a lot of work into the kit, and I'd like to be able to sponsor several more kits. Any money coming into this project is going to further the project...

it might help sales if you posted pictures of a finished model so we can see what it looks like.

Well, honestly I haven't fully finished the model yet, but I have built the observer version, and fully tested the fuselage of the ambulance version. I did have to make some edits before the current release version (2.1). I can say that I'm satisfied that anyone who builds it will find that it fits. Here are some pictures of the last beta build...

Ok guys, here's a picture of the almost completed Ambulance Version model - I just noticed that I forgot to add the exhausts however - wonder where they dropped. Will try to get that done next week.

Also, there's a new article up about another Liaison Pilot at: http://www.lbirds.com/pilots.htm

Enjoy!

There is now also a Korean War version available for those who are interested. Would anyone be interested in a civilian glider tug version?
