Excellent addition to my layout CAB! I knew I left that open for a reason...Thnaks! :)

Any time! if i were to mke one mor change, i'd ad an extra purr for that ADM grain, it seems to make more sense if you ask me, because it doesn't take nearly as many tracks as that mine builduing would, and its thinner.

Ok then, I don't have time, but continue it off the runaround. You can use the different toolsets on RTS 7.0 to upload the walthers HO building kits (their foot print) and incorporate it into that layout, but make sure it fits the measurements that Trucklover specifiied! ;)

yeah i know i can put buildings on there, but i gave up, its just annoying to me. My eyes don't like the lines on the screen, and the more lines, the bigger head ache i get, lol. alot of buildings aren't included anyway.

 Thanks for trying guys but the ADM building isn't going on this layout, it will be going on the 6' x 2' module and is part of the huge complex.

Wow, talk about sharing things in common. I thought I was the only 16 year old in this hobby for a little bit. You should be glad all you had to build was shelves. I had to build a built in cabinet, deck and arbor. Not much time for trains.

this forum is definitely more active. I use to frequent Railfan.net, but its quiet there. Trainhaus is a new forum that needs more members, and it has lots of young people.

Yeah! Happy b-day!!
(and there are a bunch of folks these days that say teenagers aren't worth anything! They said that about them when I was a teenager, too, 50 years ago! They were wrong then, and they're still wrong!!!)

lol, Yeah, I think my train club was initially nervous about me, lol. now i'm 18 though, but sadly, i feel like my layout still looks about the same... I think i spent to much tim on my locomotives, lol. Gotta finish those wires!

I wonder how everyone else's layouts have changed in the past two years (the last time most posted here).

I think i have come along way from my first layout, and i know MANY others have as well :thumb: :thumb:

Model Railroading is not something you master the first time, the second time, or maybe not even the third time around. To tell you the truth, i dont think you can ever master this hobby, theres always more stuff to learn and improve on, and thats what i love about this hobby :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

lol, all i now is that i feel like my layout is barely changing. The "new" (now a few months old) passing track and now the catenary are the first major changes to my layout in YEARS.

I suppose thats why i want to build a new railroad, or an addition, getting tired of the old, lol.

MilesWesern Happy Early Birthday!!
TruckLover Glad to see that you're not going to have a "Spaghetti Bowl" of tracks. I personally like it when there is lot's of scenery or scenes- it looks more realistic.
I love operating more than watching.

Hey I'm still young too- only 22!

Thomas Modeler
Heh. My layout began as a 56" by 38" oval of steel-rail E-Z track. The only service was passenger. This was provided by Thomas the Tank Engine, pulling Annie and Clarabel. I obtained two Troublesome Trucks and James the following year, although I lost one truck soon after. The weird 19" radius curves were problematic to replace(I was relieved when I finally had 12 18" radius curves)when damaged. Now, the curve sections are nickel silver-rail E-Z track, as is part of one straightaway. Three turnouts, two manual and one remote are used to create harbour sidings. One of these is independently controlled via my first power pack and terminal track. My engine roster now also includes Gordon and Henry, which is lucky because Thomas and James are down for wiring repairs, which in Thomas' case will wait 'til I can use the soldering gun. I have two express coaches. The goods stock has been expanded with a couple scratchbuilt vans and some partially-anglicised flats. I'm getting two more express coaches and a Hornby Thomas for Chrismas, by which time I'll have most of the track for my tabletop layout laid. I could go on, but I should probably shut up now.
