So far Volron 5 the forarm model comeing along with no problum

The Jeep needs a little help the under carriage not fitting right Maybe add some fold help a little i 'did on the one i have in pencil that how i found it didn't line up right

The hub and the wheel need your help

The star hub cap is tuff to make it took 45min to make the one it pic and its not that good :( it will be a real problum that don't model

If you can make a wheel w/ the star it middel that you can cut w/ a hobby knife
keep the hub cap for the back and add to tire thread i made a drawing of the idea !!

i should have the forarm done sometime tonight then all i need is the wheels , grill and undercarriage for the jeep

I think you may be having fit problems with the undercarriage of the truck cause I noticed you dont have the gold trim pieces attached yet. Those go on first then the undercarriage attaches to that. I'll take a look at the wheels and see if I can simplify those a bit. How is the overall size of the models by the way, do you think the build would be easier if they were scaled up a bit?

I'll test the gold trim fit to see what happen :) And let you know !!

I have't found any problum with size only the hub The rest is fine.
But hey if you want to go big go for it :)

Have you had any time to work on the rest of the land team ???
or any of the other teams ??

Do you guys think it is possible to scale this to human proportions? I would be willing to build one that big if I get the parts. Only problem is that I don't see myself using that much ink so parts would need to be blank in order for me to use different color cardboard. Think about it and let me know. By the way, excellent job so far!

Hmmm, I'm intrigued, what did you have in mind? Cosplay or a large statue?

Voltron 5 That scale up idea sound much better it will hub for wheels easy to do :)
The blue forarm is done No problum on that :) i'll post the pic later

You put a lot work in the design and would be easyer to scale it up Then to change it ...

It would defenetly be for a statue. I have a toy room and will eventually build a 6 foot tall Mazinger that I already have the parts for as part of the decoration for that room. A matching size Voltron would be nice! Only problem is that at that size, warping and crushing of parts would be inevitable once you place all that weight over the smaller parts at the bottom of the statue (the tires mostly)

Every vehicle would require a horizontal and vertical internal reinforcement component to sustain the pressure from the ones above. That's not a problem as I can make some cardoard beams and include them in the building procces.

The shoulders would also require added strenght to support the total arm weight.

I have not attempted to do a paper model on that scale yet but I already saw the 6 foot tall Mazinger somewhere else (can't remember where) and I know it's possible.

I think you will have a better picture and reference to work with once you finish the smaller model you are working on right now.

I would also probably try to assemble the small one first to better figure out what modifications will be required for the larger scale one.

got bored today so I did some building, Allhallowseve your right scaling up is an easier build. I'll get those sent to you tomorrow. This build is still unfinished but just wanted to show some progress, lighting is terrible I know. Let me know what you guys think. oh sorry about the red:confused: red cardstock was all i had to use a background

Ninja, what gsm cardstock were you thinking for this statue? Naturally you would want something strong enough to not collapse under pressure, but at the same time you'd want to make sure that it's not so thick that it can't fold...

I'm only new to card modeling so I find this rather interesting...

V5, you're creating the three teams as such that they'll also be capable of forming Voltron itself once the components are separated, right?

Sorry about the pic delay
My son took the battery out the camara for the 360 remote and kill the battery i rechargeing them now :)

i did get the bottom on the jeep with no problum i still to add the grill and wheel

I'll start on the scale up asap !! i just pick up more paper too :)

Wil it be all of the land team or just the 3 ??

Just how tall will voltron all done ???

Yes they will be, I just took a couple pics of them attached together real quick. Just one more to unfold then Land team is done.

Allhallowseve, I have the van left to unfold, right now I'm not sure how tall it will be, I estimate it will be roughly anywhere from 45 to 60 cm. when finished(I'll check later today).

First the Lion Voltron, now this!!!???

Oh man... I'm not worthy!!!

:mrgreen:Thank you for the kind words, but I still have ALOT I need to improve on. Mainly I need to learn how to model and texture better and my building skill leaves alot to be desired. But there's always room for improvement

I'm thinking about regular 22" x 28" posterboards in assorted colors. I'll probably build one vehicle first to see how it comes out.

As a matter of fact, it would really help me a lot if you can send me the blank parts (colorless parts with only the cutting and folding lines) I would also need to know how tall your model is in order for me to know the proper scale up factor required per part.

If you send me the vehicle team, I can start working on that in the mean time.

My e-mail is dcbeyond@yahoo.com just in case you get a chance to send it.

Thanks again!

That's not a problem, I'll wait till I'm completely done unfolding. That way you know there won't be any problems and have to end up redoing it several times over.

Just a quick update. Started modeling Sea Team, should go relatively quick the shapes on this one are alot simpler than the last ones.:thumb: Oh still would like some help with textures if anyone is willing.
