Good night all. RIR, you did not see the video. They got some dumb blonde who just opened a hair solon and she said the traffic was so horrible and so on. I now several that he interviewed and they bragged about the town. He always [this station] always tries to bring out the bad side.

Sleep tight.

Good morning.

It's 77 and clear at the moment. It's expected to be partly cloudy later as the high climbs into the upper 90's.

Yesterday was pretty busy. Three fire call-outs in all, one of those was a 6 alarmer. To make it more interesting it was off a back road out in the sticks. A one lane road is a tight squeeze at the best of times but when there are a dozen big fire trucks on it lined up one behind the other it becomes a real circus. Fortunately the roadside had been cleared so the tanker trucks (water carriers) could get to where they were needed. The other two calls, one before the 6 alarmer and one after were simple one truck affairs. The first was a fire in a fence line. It was set off by a bottle rocket. The last call of the day was a fire alarm call from Ameritek Industries on the edge of town. It was a false alarm.

We need rain!

Today's Weather for:
Sundown, LA 71446-6114 7/26/2008

Hey guys, it's 89 here and the yard is damp, but I can't take it - must MOW! It's really way too tall. I'll do the front and sides today and the back tomorrow, if it dries out more. Jeff - love that pic, Stephanie was glad it had a new happy home! Her Dad just displayed it for years and years, she said - doesn't think he ever ran it. I'll be online later, guys n' gals!

Good afternoon all,

Back after a week's vacation to the Ocean City, MD, area (Ocean Pines for those familiar with the area). We rented two houses and took almost the whole clan. Jean and I, 3-kids & 2-spouses + 8 grandkids from 1 to 15. Needless to say it was an interesting week.

We had great weather, only major rain was overnight one night. Did have a slight drizzle one evening but didn't keep us in. Pop-pop baby sat the one year old one day and evening so her Mom could enjoy a little time with the other two daughters. A lot of fun, but it is always nice to get home.

I haven't had a chance to read the last weeks posts, will try to do that later.

And then there are the 145 emails in the In-Box.

EVENING ALL
87 today, a few spots of rain in lower Mich. today but none here. The grass is still green which usually would be brown by now. A friend stopped by with the new K-Line catalog but the Lionels had not arrived yet, except the store copy. Of course both are already on line. No playing with toys today just being lazy. Sunday is next, make the best of it we will only have tomorrow once....S.J.

Get a box and shovel for John. We'll just bury him right there. Glad you had fun.
Tired. Good night all.

Mikey - I had to put on the side-discharge attachment, the grass was too high and wet. Rained yesterday and this morning, then was pretty warm and humid all day, but we have had so much rain I just couldn't wait any more. It just rained again, too! Need to do the back hill, but doing so when wet causes one to slide toward one's certain doom - maybe tomorrow, if it dries off some! No trains today, though.

Welcome back John!

Sir James, I'll call tomorrow morning so we can solve all those world problems (-D

Good morning.

It's 77 and partly cloudy with not a drop of rain in sight. The high today is expected to be 101. Anybody for sidewalk fried eggs?

Two fire calls yesterday, one was a small grass fire and the other was a false alarm from a faulty detector.

Morning all. Back from Sunday School. Guy in Sunday School started telling me about a box of Lionel he has. This guy is my age and he said they were his uncle's. Santa Fe F3's and a black steam engine [he does hot remember the number]. Has the cars, track, switches, operating cattle car with pen and coal elevator. HUMMM Off to the lake in a few to do contract and will take camera. Have a good one.

Can't wait for those pics, Chief. Jeffrey, is that a "cardboard" model? Waiting for my turn at the shower, then going out with the Fam for a while for quality bonding time. Nice talking with Sir James this morning on the phone for a change! TTFN

Haven't been into any of the local shops in the last week, so don't know if any of the new Lionel or K-line catalogs are in yet. Will have to stop in some time this week. I haven't even had a chance to check them out on line, but it sounds like there isn't much that is new. That is good as I don't have much space nor money for trains. Most of my purchases lately have been Atlas or MTH plus a little Weaver. Nothing against Lionel, just seems they don't have much that takes my eye.

Today was another big day. We had a surprise 40th Birthday Party for my son. Had about a hundred people there. I think he was surprised, or else he is a good actor, never can be sure.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

 Went to a small car show today(they have it every month in the summer) May take my Trans Am next time as it is only $5.00 to show and free to looksign1 The proceeds go to a differnt charity each show.

No work in the morningwall1:curse: will change schedule at remaining job to make up for the loss of income:thumb:

Brutus, those printable intermodule are awesome worth checking out but you will have to enlarge them as they are in HO and N scale. I was thinking of using scrap packing material as a core for them so they would not be too heavy:mrgreen:
