The loco runs fine like my other Genesis models.
My handrails are broken so i ordered new ones.
Added a Kadee #5 on the rear and a Kadee #46 on the front side.

nice picss bn. looks like a great locomotive. im going to pick up mine is about an hour. i did hear some folks say on another forum how there were a few things on them that werent "prototypical". but i guess thats all what you like. i never got into the prototypical look that much. long as it looks and runs ok im happy.

charlie down at the kjrr onetime had a rail fan tell him one time that the locomtives he has werent "prototypical".his railroal is a regular real life, freight and passenger rail road. what more could you want. but to each his own i guess. long as your happy.

While diesel engines are pretty much generic from one railroad to another, the details are different. First some railroads may run the wide cab while others run the standard cab. Bells may be mounted on top of the hood or under the running board depending on the preference of the railroad. Horns will vary from railroad to railroad and mounting locations will change from road to road. If an individual is going to be a prototype modeler, moving details around on the body to match your prototype is an expected part of the hobby. If an individual can't move details, or make minor changes to match their prototype, then they had better settle on modeling "good enough." Doing custom details to make every road name model correct to the last detail will require changes that will add considerably to the price. It is much less expensive to kit bash to get your model correct than to expect the manufacturer to make a different model for every paint scheme.

got my sd-60 from my local hobby shop this past friday. its a great looking locomotive. since im new to the hobby i cant say if all the details are correct or not, but she sure looks pretty and runs great. looks almost as good as the sd-80 macs.
