I just got out of one of those training sessions where I would like to know how I get back the three hours of my life that was just wasted. wall1wall1 Sitting around counting ceiling tiles would have been more productive.

Took care of my business in Alexandria today and picked up a couple of items while I was there. A pack of WS assorted crates, Walther's 785-1855 and a package of Fine Turf (earth), Walther's 785-42.

Great!!! So now that you're rested and comatose, you can come right on down here and attend the 1.5 hour MSDS training Webinar that I'm attending Friday... It starts just after lunch. I guess they think it's easier to pay attention on a full stomach....:cry::cry::cry:

let me know what time to expect you, so i can plan my afternoon nap.. :-o

Yeah - i heard that blue Rocks stuff from a few people... It's a shame that everything has to change, and mostly it's for the profits, the bottom line wall1wall1wall1

Good evening
A pleasant summer day. although my sinus infection is bothering me I did manage to work on the train purchase I made last week. Little by little things are getting fixed and working again, one by one. The 8142 C&O set is done and the 1949 - 2026 is almost ready, still need some engine work but the set cars are ready. That covers my day for the most part so have a great summer evening and enjoy....S.J.
CHIEF, I'm GLAD YOU PAST YOUR TEST,EVEN THOUGH I KNOW YOU DID NOT STUDY FOR IT.

Good news on the test, Chief! Doug, glad that your efforts were appreciated! Package arrived from TRAINZ - yeah, a bunch of preordered Halloween stuff! Now if I could only run my trains - everything is covered up to keep out the drywall dust right now :( Sir James, glad that doctor found what was wrong, now be good and take your pills! I've been the same way with my tendinitis and now my knee. Why do we always wait so long before we go to the doc?

Check out this derelict I found back in the trees on the edge of the Leesville yard. It's an old KCS Southern Belle baggage car from the streamline era. This baby has been sitting here a lot of years.

Good evening all,

Spent the day at TCA Museum today instead of Wednesday. When I walked in, Carol said "You know it's Tuesday!"

No trains tonight, well sort of, I spent a couple of hours on a project that Don B. sent me. More later.

Tomorrow to be another day out with daughter and grandkids.

Off to bed soon.

Bed time. Did get to eat that bag of microwave popcorn. :thumb: Ran trains before Town Board meeting. Everything ran good. John F., got the same type of box. Good night and sleep tight.

Good morning folks

It was 72 F on the way into the office this morning. You can feel the humidity building. Our high today is supposed to be 91 F. We are currently under a Excessive Heat Watch until Saturday evening.

No modeling last night. My daughter had a basketball game. We also had to attend a Cub Scout meeting about the popcorn fundraiser and membership recruitment.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Good morning.

It's 68 here and clear for the moment. It will become partly cloudy later as the temp climbs to a high in the mid 90's.

Yesterday I came upon an old baggage car that used to just sit on on an abandoned spur on the edge of the KCS yard. It was in the all white KCS paint scheme then, a survivor in the MoW fleet. Now it's surrounded by trees, the old spur is long gone and the car is sitting on the only bits of rail that were left. Over the years the white paint has peeled off exposing what's left of the old KCS Southern Belle paint scheme and some remnants of a paint scheme from the road that had the car before KCS acquired it. I may attempt making a model of it someday. I would have loved to get some better shots of it but my physical problems don't allow me the mobility of moving through ditches or soft ground.

Today's Weather for:

Morning from a sunny and warm Chicago where it's Miller time - as their US HQ is apparently going to move here. Long day yesterday with class - full day at work today too. Have to stand before several groups reassuring them about 'system issues' being resolved. My conductor friend appreciated the gift of O Scale Mag. He tells me great stories in exchange from his almost 30 years with C&NW and the UP...

Jeffrey, very nice picture. If that car could only talk, bet it has some really interesting stories.

Have any of you attended a NMRA train convention. It is being held in Anahiem this year, and I think I will get a chance to visit. Any idea of what to expect? I know one of my favorite hobby stores is going to be there, and I have made arrangements to pick up a switch from him.

Have a short reprieve from a grulling work schedule, and been working on details for our clubs Operating Session. Trying to keep it interesting and not becoming too frustrating for some. So far everyone has had a lot of fun.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Don, I think you will enjoy it, just don't tell anyone that you are a 3-railer. Just kidding. I find a lot of interest at the multi-guage shows. The NMRA National convention was in Philly a couple of years ago and I wish I had taken the opportunity to attend.

Jefelectric those are some snazzy looking locos:thumb:

Jeffery that old passenger/baggage car is a weathering project begging to be done:mrgreen: Good pics:wave:

Job#1 moved some large boxes around and then helped make the rounds on the Columbus route, got home early and took a nap:cry: Job#2 have to be there by 9:00am and work till 4:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Very weird schedule but works for me.

I am not going to buy any train or train related items unless it is directly related or needed for the layout until I have the layout up and running:rolleyes:
