Monster here . . .

OK, I can be a bit of a monster . . .just ask my kids !!! Some words just make me see red: it's the paranoia you get working for the NHS for many years! sign1

tikitiki_m; I apologise for jumping down your throat. It was just the way your post was worded and the way I read it. Of course it might've been the gold earing gave me away!!!

Stev0; you're righ: monster rage can distort things out of proportion and make you read between lines that were never written.

ARMORMAN; make sure you send tikitiki_m's Destroid Monster to me after you steal all his card models!!! I leave the disposition of the remainder in your capable hands!

Janx; your Mac II is AWESOME jawdrop jawdrop jawdrop. Forget the simplifications, make it the best card model ever with the greatest detail ever!!! :band1:

Graham . . .monster by popular vote . . .

Janx,

The Monster looks buildable as is :D

For those who haven't built it yet I highly recomend Janx's Alpha Fighter. His stuff is prime :D

While were at this I might as well ask my question.
I want to make a Gundam based off of a rendering of the Infinite Freedom from Seed. I know how i want it to look for the most part, but i would like some help keeping it "mechanically true" to the Gundam universe. is there a basic explanation somewhere as to the types of parts and structures that almost all Gundams incorporate? You know, like the head mounted guns and stuff.

I'm not new to Gundam, but i have never seen an explanation as to "How any Gundam Works" verses "How 'said' Gundam works

This is the Image I'm working from

Back!

Hi all!

Finally back home and man, I SO not wanna be! At work things have piled up, and at home, with the fridge having been unplugged for a whole month, well, let's just say we THOUGHT we had removed everything that can spoil...
... now theres something lurking in the corner underneath my computer desk... I fear it's intentions might not be honorable... :p

Anyway, Back to action!

Janx, I'm with everyone else RE: your Monster. That looks just too cool to keep away!

Vortex, that tomahawk is on the list, unfortunately its a big and sloooow moving list... and it's not on top... wall1
So I'm looking forward to some of the other designers here taking a crack at it...

Sebret, as far as I know, there isn't a localized source like you suggest.
However, I'm rather new to designing myself, and what I have found is that this forum has a lot of great guys (from my perspective they are experts) who can help you, provided you have a specific query. G1 and Janx (among others) have given me invaluable advice, and gone out of their way to help me with even the silliest of design issues. I owe them a huge debt.
So my advice is to look for more references, start your design, begin your own design thread(or feel free to do it all in this one) and when you hit a snag, just ask.

Sorry for the long post everyone, just glad to be active on the forum again.
Updates on my models will come... as soon as there are any! :eek:ops:

Cool site Paragon!
There used to be a Mac II Monster kit available somewhere by a guy called Wulph... And its... well... a MONSTER!
Here's a pic of it at least...
Anyone got a working link?

Maybe I will do a Mac II, but it's at the end of the list.

This is the Wulph. That was just a build, ThunderChild. I did NOT design the kit.
Unforcently in my recent move, all my DVDs of models got misplaced within the 30+ boxes of stuff. Will have to locate the holders :( . Give me some time to find them but beware t was a commersial kit and the files I have are close to 7 megs

PLEASE!!!!! I would love to have that thing!

Thunder: After the Defender, I suggest the Tomahawk be next. Those things are kickass.

All this has made me start re-watching Robotech (yeah...not just Macross, sorry). I watched it when I was a lot younger, so I didn't really realize how much more mature and complex it was (I just liked all the explosions, typically). I bought the entire DVD set awhile ago, so at least I'm getting use out of it.

Anyway, I look forward to more news on the Destroids, and hopefully faster releases once the Defender is out (since three of them use the same legs).

I agree the tomahawk should be the next, it's just too cool a mech, and I too got the Robotech series and I want to start watching it again... maybe do a Robotech marathon , whats a little sleep deprivation?

Thanx for correcting me Wulph. Its a nice clean build nonetheless! :thumb:

To everyone: Concerning the files of the Monsters, If it was a commercial kit, I think it's better if we stay within the forum guidelines and get permission first.
Whatever happens in PM's though, is no one else's problem, unless I'm gravely mistaken. :p
Still, the laws of general good etiquette prevails over all, IMHO...
(Just my two cents on the matter... )

Sebret, no prob buddy, I know it's not exactly what you wanted. It's just how I go about it.

Take care all!

ohgodwhy, your post "Monster" is not free model, it's scanned model, the designer is living a life by selling his designed models.
You only think just a game or to help some people who looking for the model,
but he has lost big income from this monster.
I know it's almost impossible to buy the model for almost people,
but the rest of people also don't think to buy the model, if someone shows his model in public.

New Ideas

Hi everyone!
Just watched the first 5 episodes of Macross Frontier...
announce1 OMG!!!!!!

Did a quick google and here's some pics of the VF-25 Messiah, and the SDF.
The monster seems a hot topic, so I added a pic of the (new) VB-6 monster too.

Any designers drooling yet?

I think the VF-25s with Armour is a kick-a$$ design!

What do you guys think?

TikiTiki,
Given that I don't read japanese, and that it IS OFFERED FOR FREE by LINK REMOVED, is there anything that leads you to believe that I had any idea that this may be a pirated model ? Anything in the model itself that states, in a language that I can read, that it is for sale only ? No ? Then take your catty little remarks to the website that's offering it for free, and stop making baseless allegations of misconduct about someone who was only looking to help other members of this forum. I'll be waiting for your apology.
