OK folks, this thread is dedicated to freight from Fallen Flags, thats right, ANY freight cars that you may see out there that are still in operation TODAY, LETS SEE IT!:thumb:

REMEMBER: Just because you see it today, doesn't mean it will be operating tomorrow, SO TAKE THOSE PICS!!!:winki::mrgreen:

**THE RULES:
1- the pictures MUST be taken by YOU

2- the freight cars CAN BE PATCHED, but MUST have the ORIGINAL ROAD lettering or logo STILL ON IT.

3- NO pictures allowed from the past, that means NO pictures from before the road became a "Fallen Flag".

4- NO pictures of freight cars that are in a museum, that defeats the whole purpose of this thread, it MUST still be in regular operation.

I know i DON'T have ALL the Fallen Flags listed, but this is just a condensed "quick reference guide" that has the most probable roads you will run into:winki: . If you can get shots of IN SERVICE FALLEN FLAG FREIGHT, that i don't have listed, GREAT!, POST IT!!:thumb:

I think it would be GREAT to see just what freight cars are still operating out there from Fallen Flags. this will also give you Rail Fans something else to get shots of, besides engines, thus making your rail fanning experience more enjoyable:winki: .

Now I'm done talking on here, its up to YOU FOLKS to get out there and get shots of ANY Fallen Flag freight cars in your area on HERE:thumb: .

**One last thing, if you ever found any Fallen Flag engines, DON'T post them on here, that would REALLY be an AWESOME find, and would constitute a thread all on its own
mysmilie_57.gif
.

**OK, one more last thing
mysmilie_34.gif
, i WILL permit Fallen Flag passenger cars on here too:twisted: .

THATS MY FINAL ANSWERS ON THIS MATTER...PERIOD!

**A HUGE THANK YOU!, to Charlie(slekjr), Kurt(cnw1961), and ED(eightyeightfan1) for helping me out with the Fallen Flag list:winki: , THANKS GUYS!:thumb::mrgreen:

****FEEL FREE TO PRINT FOR A QUICK REFERENCE****

Larry:wav: , ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Those shots you posted are EXACTLY what i am talking about!:thumb::mrgreen:

You know, so many of us try and get the "perfect" engine shot while Rail fanning, then we drop our cameras:eeki: , NOW, we have gave our Rail fanning experiences more purpose:winki: , and besides that, we can make this thread a "record" of the neat Fallen Flag freight that is STILL OPERATING today:thumb: .

(BTW, THANK YOU Larry, for the complement:mrgreen: )

This is a GREAT idea.....I would just add...If the "fallen flag" is somewhat obscure (little known outside of a certain geographic area), a little "blurb" regarding the line would be nice to "enrich" our meager (mine really..) knowledge of railroadiana....Seeing Larry's SOO Lines brought this to mind....
Also, date & place of picture...
I think I'll have to carry my camera with me, just in case....

Gus, THANKS!
The added info you mentioned IS a good idea:thumb: , HOWEVER, i am NOT going to make it a requirement, heres the thing, i want to keep this 100% simple, the four rules i stated in the first post of this thread will make it hard enough. It took me almost a year to come up with the four freight cars i posted, so it just goes to show you this isn't an everyday occurrence, but DON'T get discouraged, believe me, when you DO come across a Fallen Flag freight, NOW, it will slap make your day:winki: .

ANYONE that DOES want to post added info, like Gus mentioned, or even more then that, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO!:thumb: , but again, its NOT a requirement. if ANYONE has ANY questions about the pics feel free to ask about them, i am sure the "poster" would love to tell about it:winki: .

Wow - what a great idea! This is a thread that could go on and on and on and on...

I'll have to start packing my camera every time I go out the driveway -- I live east of Kansas City and I see sooooo much 'fallen flags' rolling stock. I've always thought, "cool, look at the (insert Midwestern road name of your choice) (insert freight car type of your choice) - amazing it's still being used!" Now I'll have to remember to point and shoot, then post!

GOOD SHOTS ED!:thumb: , and THANK YOU for the help on the list:thumb:

I ALSO need to say THANKS to two VERY GOOD friends of mine, Charlie(slekjr), and Kurt(CNW1961), BOTH of them seen the distress in my last post, and they sent two different lists of fallen flags, THANKS GUYS!!!:thumb:

Slight problem...BOTH the lists they sent are 50 miles long:eeki: , i NEVER knew so many roads have went down:cry: , sad really. ANYWAYS, i am going to go through the lists, combine them, and then condense them down to what i think would be the most likely roads we will see. i gotta keep this as simple as possible, to make it fun for everyone participating:winki: .

Ok Deano, ya went and made me do it. I went back to the rock crushing plant and got pics of a string of SP hoppers:mrgreen: I am pretty sure I saw 2 lettered for WP further down the string, but as it was clearly marked private property, and I had just saw the security patrol, I figured it would be better if I settled for the long distance shots:rolleyes:
