Good Morning Everyone. It's not a bad day here today. Alot of cloud cover and looks like it is going to rain once again. Hopefully it holds off all day and will not rain. Going to try to do some railfanning today before the girlfriend and daughter come down. Hope you all have a great day.

Morning all. Happy first day of the week for all of you. Now the end of June. Guess the year is half gone [per some]. Pretty baby in that picture Chessie. Hope all have a great week. All us USA folks get to "eat up a storm" Friday. Usually have a big hotdog cooking here. Fireworks in the park so we look over the back fence. Later.

Sure is slow in here today. My parents and I went to a local restaurant for breakfast this morning. As we sat at our table (we get the same one every time) we were discussing our upcoming schedules when several older couples (50's to late 60's), dressed like they were coming from or going to church, came in. Two of the couples headed for the counter to place their orders while the man of couple #3 went to set a couple of tables together. His wife (who shall be known as woman #3) heads toward the counter then when she's almost there she turns and hollers across the room to him, asking what he wants for breakfast. Meanwhile we continue our quiet discussion. She's standing very near to us and when she can't quite make out what her husband said she looked down at us and said 'You people shut up! I can't hear my husband!' to which my mother quietly and politely tells her to go talk to him instead of yelling across the room. The woman replied by saying 'I didn't ask you for advice, now shut up b*t*h!'. At this point one of the other women got involved, coming to her friends aid and started lambasting my parents, and myself, with some of the filthiest language I've ever heard come out of a woman's mouth, and believe me, I've heard some doozies. She even had the audacity to make remarks about my father's racial preferences, being that my mother is Native American (Cherokee). It really irks me when somebody refers to me as a 'halfbreed', especially when it's someone who doesn't know what they're talking about, but when they start insulting my parents I get really PO'd. The more I asked her to stop the more she kept on and the louder and filthier she got. As you can imagine it wasn't long before management got involved. Woman #3 immediately laid the blame for the whole thing squarely on my parents and myself, referring to me as a no-good half breed who probably never made it past fifth grade and how we shouldn't be allowed in such places, but the manager wasn't buying into it. We have been going to this place for breakfast twice a week since it opened in 1980. Woman #3 then tied into the manager and made remarks that made it clear she was referring to his possible parentage and no kindly either. As it ended up, all three couples were made to leave. The people you run into. We get our next breakfast there free.

Man, Jeff! That really stinks! I hope it didn't wreck your whole day?

Table looks good, CSX - good job! :thumb:

I finished that closet in the basement - all framed and drywalled. Now, I need to go around the next well - that will be a big job! Next week is the 4th, so might get extra time to work on it.

Mean hateful people, unruley kids are things I hate about resturants:curse: but those quite conversations are the worst of the lot:cry: (just teasing)sign1

Some people are just plain ignoramasses  and should not be given the satisfaction, glad the manager took care of it:thumb:

Good evening

Jeff got breakfast and a floor show. You usually only get that with supper. Jeff I'm glad everything turned out ok.
No trains today, we had our morning rain and the rest of the day was fine. I watched the LPGA this afternoon. But the best of the day was a call from Brutus. we talked a little of everything and solved no world problems. If all goes well I will stop bye tomorrow. S.J.

Hey TomPM!!!! You're not going to be effected by the State budget, or lack thereof, are you?????? wall1 :curse: wall1

Yes we are. waiting and seeing what goes on or doesn't.

I had to say but the only time we run into this mess is when have a Democrat in the Governor' Office. Rendell has done this several times now and so did Casey. Overall being an employee for five governors now this one has been the worst one for playing games with the budget and other programs. I feel sorry for whoever has to come in and clean-up the mess.

Sorry don't mean to get political but this irks me every time it happens.

Good morning folks

It was 73 F on the way into work this morning. High toady will be 86 F. It looks like I will not be furloughed this year as the state has a budget!

It was a busy weekend. We did the grocery shopping ordeal. Yesterday we had to get new tires for my wife’s Tracker. I also did some yard work.

I set-up a photo run-by but I never got the pictures taken. Somehow I ran out of time. I still did not get to the LHS so my stock car kit assembly is still on hold.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Morning all. HUMID!!!!!! Had an inch of rain last night and into the early AM. This is great. Down side, pull grass, shake outr dirt and throw over to one side. Rain sets it back out and more comes from where you pulled it. I'll take the rain and grass over our last year's drought any day. Wet from pulling grass and still in the 70's. Old sun pulling that water back out of the ground. Will mow when it dries out. Have a great day.
