Kinda new to this Zealot thing, but I see a few folks I recognize here. I'm about to start a new shelf layout also. If my kids would come get all the stuff they left behind when they moved out 6 years ago I'd have more room. wall1 Looks good so far Josh M, I have a couple old pickup trucks also.

Thanks

Cant wait to see some progress on the shelf layout :thumb: :thumb:

Made some more progress today on the stagging yard.

heres some quick pics, i stagged a couple trains on the tracks. Far track has APC intermodal double stacks, then a Tanker train with my KATO UP SD90/43MAc, then some TTX intermodal double stacks, then 2 empty tracks, then some more tankers and a couple boxcars mixed in, then some more tankers lol.

I need more real estate, which requires monies i don't have, lol. even if i did get some more money, i'd probably end up buying some obscure and ridiculous expensive commuter cars, lol.

i dont want to go much wider then that cuz it would really domminate my room and limit the walking space.

I don't know why you think you need any walking space. If you have your layout, you can just sit in the middle and enjoy. Also, if you get rid of the bed and other unnecessary furniture, you will have room for a second level below. :)

Now for some more Stagging progress

i had to rip all the tracks out almost that i had already glued down because the grade up needed room. I didnt think about the brackets on the wall. my original plan was to run the grade against the wall but i hadnt thought about the brackets being in the way for the main level. All well lol

Heres some pics. Im only going to have one track going up to main level to save room for more stagging in the yard. At the end of the yard, i will cut out "tunnels" for the tracks on the stagging yard so i dont loose all that room when the incline makes the turn at the end of the wall and loops back on itself to continue up to the main level.

The gap between blinds and riser is where the supports for main level will come down onto the stagging level for added support for main level
