Having been caught out in a light jacket in rainy weather, I wore a heavier rainproof one today to go into town.

I just received a delivery of Bachmann HO loco + coaches. I'll start a new layout thread soon. For now, it can be revealed here, the layout will be, in American style, a transport museum with storage yards, and a heritage railway loop with its own station and sheds.

cnw1995: You just reminded me about two books I had stored away. I just dug them out for a read. One is "The locomotives of the South Eastern Railway", the other " ... of the South Eastern and Chatham Railway".
My special focus is on the railways of the Isle of Sheppey.

Happy Birthday Chief, Don't let them give you a hard time, just jealous that you are still a young buck. I can always remember your birthday as you were born just two days after my wife was born.

We had .6" of rain last evening and night. Cloudy but no rain so far today. Squash should get off to a good start. Worked on my small mountain for a little while.

The mail finally came today. Nothing in it to get excited about, mostly catalogs for my wife.

Happy Birthday to the Chief! Not much to report. Had a salad at the hospital and it didn't seem to agree with me. Tired and not feeling that great. Good thing I have a private duty nurse at home to take care of me. Hope everyone has had a great day.

Thanks gang. Spent it at the Legislature lobbying. Did get good food [lots of boiled shrimp]. That mad it worth while. Bad when you are more interested in the food than the ladies.:eek: Funny thing is the ladies in government you use to flirt [don't touch] with, before you retired from government, are all like you [fatter and older]. :cry: Wife had ice creeam cake waiting in freezer when I got home. Later

Good morning folks

It was a muggy 66 F with threatening skies on my way to work this morning. We have a slight chance of thunderstorms for the day with a high of 79 F. We are currently under and Excessive Heat Watch because we will be in the high nineties for the weekend. Saturday we could reach 97 F.

No modeling last night. We had a Cub Scout meeting to discuss our weekend camping trip.

I hope everybody has a good day.
